Well, guess I'll take a shot at this, too.

Hey SDA, my name is Tim (Youngb1ood). I began speedrunning a few months ago with Final Fantasy IV Diehard%. Many thanks to Nocashnocash, TheRoth and TheLCC for the help they have given me. I've since moved on to Castlevania II: Simon's Quest in hopes of making a run towards the 100% category. Feel free to stop by my channel and say, "Hi." I stream Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to midnight CST.
Hi all, my name is Daniele, I'm here since...::) i don't remember, i see so much speedrun here but never registered.

Hey, I'm Joel. I've been speedrunning (mostly Halo ILs) for a few years now. Last night I decided to try start to pick up speedrunning Bully: Scholarship edition last night. I came to this site today to see if anyone had routed it and sure enough I found a great thread on it Cheesy

My twitch.tv name is the same as my one here, and a few of you have probably seen me lurking in random speedrunning streams (I spend like 10 hours a day on twitch :S). But yeah, hoping to pick up a few new speedgames and start streaming sometime soon Cheesy
I'm a dwaagon
Hiya! I'm NekoLuca (Or Gorgi). I've been into speedrunning for a few months but only really started doing it when I got a PS1 and Spyro, since then I've been hammering Spyro the Dragon and am trying to learn a good route. Nice to meet you all!
hey folks,
my name is robert and i really like this project of speedrunning! Great Job from the Mangament and all Players which make this possible.
i am from germany and want to give my own speedtime to the website. I hope i can handle this --> game will be The Settlers III.
If there are any question dont hasitate to contact me.

cheers
knoll3 aka robert
i am KoRnLike, real name is Tristan and im from Germany. I am already 25 years old and i got into speedruns two years ago watching SGDQ. Since then im constantly watching a lot of speedrun related streams like Bl00d_Thunder and kotti. I started running my self only a week ago with the game Wolfenstein the new order and i want to learn bioshock 2 and Castlevania Lords of shadows (later a lot more i guess). I ended up here on the SDA Forums watching for old runs of Castlevania lords of shadows and tips and tricks for it but i have not found a lot about it, i guess its not a intresting speedrun for most of the people on SDA. I will still run it

I also stream most of my runs on my Twitch tv page under the same nickname. I hope to learn a lot from this Forum and ofc gona give as much help i can for people who want to know something from me.
Hey guys,

My names Jay. I don't speedrun at all but dig everything that goes on and the art of it, as well as the AGDQ on youtube. Great cause.

I'm going to try to go to the next AGDQ and write a nonfiction book about it.
I'm bad at video games.
Hey, guys. I'm technology4617, otherwise known as TechnologyChild on YouTube and as Alex by my friends, and I'm a Rayman 1 player of moderate (shit) skill, casually and terribly speedrunning the game on occasion, and am currently working on making a no death run of it for the RPC forum's anniversary. However, I mostly enjoy watching and commenting on speedruns and talking with anyone who'll listen to my rambling. I'm relatively new to the speedrunning community, so forgive my occasional noobishness. I'm just dumb, yo. Tongue

I also went to the latest GDQ and had a ton of fun, and am hoping to go to the next SGDQ as well. Smiley

I'm also fairly active on the Rayman Pirate Community forums, in case anyone knows those.
Dapper as fuck.
So I've been on the site for a few months now, and have a submission in, so I figure I should maybe do this?  I'm philosoraptor42, Raptor for short is fine.  I stumbled across this great community about the time SGDQ 2013 happened and have been hooked ever since.  Currently I am focused on running Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, with some halfway decent personal bests in both Any% and 100%.  I originally started with Any%, then at the recommendation of puwexil, started doing 100% since no one had submitted for that category yet.  I have a run that just got accepted a couple weeks ago, and have a new better run in the verification process as I type this.  I started off speedrunning doing 16 star Mario 64, and still pretty much am terrible at it.  It took a backseat when I realized I loved running RR and was decent at it.  You guys are a great bunch of folks and I'm glad to be a part of this community. Smiley
Hello. Im killat98 aka killert98 (twitch) i have started speedrunning this summer. I began to think about speedrunning when i was watching sgdq 2013. i seen trihex speed run yoshi and it was awesome. i was like it looks easy just find a game i like and run it. So the games i chose was Super Smash Brothers 64, and Battle Block Theater. i have be practicing these games all summer and will try to start streaming them soon.

About me:
This will be my second year in high school. Im 15 Year old male. I Like Trains (Asdf movie ref.) im on steam and PlayStation.(i own ps3 ps4). i like some old games. and thats it Tongue
Hey there!
I'm X2ndhandsarcasm, but you can call me Sarcasm for short. I've only been speedrunning (technically routing) for about a week now, but I've been a fan of/watching speedruns for about 2 years. I'm currently on my way to submitting a run of Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects (GameCube). I've pushed my PB from about 4:47:00 to 3:18:20, but it needs some polishing before it's worthy of submission. I've been inspired by a number of speedrunners and even LP-ers to pursue this hobby and have been loving the scene so far. Follow me on Twitch and Twitter at the same name!
love zelda-Trials Fusion Speedrunner
Hello everyone! My name is Jeff But you can call me Player1Start. I have been into speedrunning for about a year and currently i speedrun Trials Fusion on the xbox one. I hope one day to go to a GDQ event and be apart of the event!
Hello, everyone! My name is Julian Wielkens, and I am not exactly a serious speedrunner, I just do it for fun. I am currently teaching myself to run Kid Icarus: Uprising and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, the latter of which is my favorite game, even though Spyro 3 is a close second. I learned about SDA through AGDQ 2013, which was on the twitch front page as I was searching for a Pokemon streamer. (I am quite the pokemon fan) I found SDA quite by accident.

I just today made an account, but I'm not really sure what to do with said account. Start a thread about planning a run for the 2 games I am trying to learn, KI:U and PMD:Sky? From what I have researched about SDA, both games aren't exactly common games to run.

PMD:Sky is an extremely long game, split into two equally long parts. Since every floor in all 33 required dungeons is generated completely randomly, I can imagine that runs would be almost purely RNG.

Kid Icarus: Uprising isn't near as bad, RNG-wise. In fact, the game is extremely predictable. It is even quite short, for a modern 3ds game. The only problem with speedrunning it is that literally half the game is an autoscroller. Each of the 25 levels, bar 3, (Levels 9, 23, and 25) is split into 2 parts: A flight stage and a land stage. While in flight, the game moves itself; you have no control over your speed whatsoever. In the land stages, you can move around normally.

Like I said before, I have no clue what I am really supposed to do. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome. Cheesy
Hello all -

Been a long time fan of speedrunning, and absolutely love the AGDQ and SGDQ charity events. I have been anonymously donating  to those events, but now I guess you will see them under this new name lol.

I grew up on Legend of Zelda, Megaman, Castlevania, Metroid, Resident Evil, and Final Fantasy games. So, you can guess the threads I will be nose deep in. I currently want to learn to better run Zelda 2 and Super Metroid, but I am open to learning a new and fun game anytime. I run on a Wii U and emulators. The Wii U is a pain because the controller isn't exactly precise. I also have to double check that I have approved emulator versions

I have 0 (ZERO, NONE, no) experience recording my runs or anything (I just got WSPLIT lol), so I have a lot to learn and will be a read more post less user for quite a while.

Thank  you for having such a great community, and I hope that I can add to it

- Justin

Get this guy a healing potion, on me

Been watching speed runs for a few years including AGDQ etc but never had a game I really wanted to speed run, gave GTA SA a few trys and did ok but now I'm really looking into doing a Skylanders run... so yeah Cheesy <3
Hey,

I'm interested in speedruns, but I've never done one myself. I'm excited to dive in and have fun with it as well as set some records hopefully. Smiley

Sup folks, Justin here.  32 years old, still a gamer since growing up in the nintendo generation as time and personal life allows (travel a ton for work) and came across the *GDQ events on youtube at some point.  While I don't have an interest to speed run myself, I still really enjoy watching good runs and personalities, and I do actually look forward to volunteering my time at the *GDQ events when I can and attending those events as they certainly seem like a lot fun.  Look forward to possibly making some good friends here that we might be able to meet up at those events and watch some wicked runs.
What's up, everybody? I'm Radical Love Brother. I've decided to go into speedrunning after I watched this year's SGDQ. It was nuts seeing all my favorite games get torn apart.

I've been playing video games since before I can remember, but I think my first was Pokemon Blue. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, two of my favorite games being Super Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, which will be the two I will focus on most.

I'll be seeing you guys around!

Hello, I'm ProGamerX56 otherwise known as George. You may have seen me in Twitch Chats, I often watch speedruns. I've only done one proper speedrun, which was SADX Tails story, 27:03. That was ok compare to some runs out there. I plan to do more, but I still need to learn Casinopolis strats :P! I can't recall the first time I watched a GDQ on YouTube, I think it might have been Parax's run of Sonic Generations, but I'm not sure. I've never actually caught a GDQ live as they are never in my summer break D:

See you around.
Hello.  I've been lurking around SDA for awhile but just recently registered.  I don't actively speedrun anything yet, but that will change within the next couple months.

I go by JLohman711 almost everywhere on the internet. This is a combination of my first initial and last name. The number was added because just JLohman was too short to be my username when I first got internet access. The number 711 was chosen because at the time (1995, I had just turned 18) my part-time summer job was working at a local 7-11 convenience store.  For simplicity, I tell people that can't pronounce my name correctly to just refer to me as JL or JLoh (pronounced J-Low).  I will also answer to JW, my first and middle initial, which was my official "name" growing up.

About Me: I turned 37 just a few days ago. Currently unemployed, and have been since 2002.  This is due mostly to mental issues caused by a serious head injury when I was 11.

Been a video game nerd since the days of the original NES back in 1985, though I didn't own one myself until '89.
Hello!

I'm a spanish guy and I always liked beat the games as fast as I can. One day (in 2011-2012 approx.) I decided looking for this issue on internet and I found the speed runs and this community.

I'm not a serious runner, I'm more like a casual runner who run for run, only for fun. I never used a timer until this year and when I did I could see my times are acceptable (for someone who play once or twice per week :P).

I usually run sonic 1 (SMS), Kirby's Dreamland (GB), Full Moon Rising (PC) and Eversion (v1.7.3 and HD steam version too) and probably I will start running Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (PS1) next month.

I also like watch speed runs on speedrunslive, in special any sonic and half-life 1.

See you!
I'm not doing this right am i?
sry i didn't see this here...

I'm Kcspot.

I want to run games and be a big boy.

I'm trying to introduce DW8 as a viable thing to run....

I got interested in this through AGDQ and watching mike and werster DESTROY Sonic and Knux 3 in AGDQ 2013

Hello everyone. I'm Hornet although I had to use Beliskner85 on Twitch.tv since someone else had already took my older screen name, lol. I don't stream, but I just love watching other runners streaming, and interact with them occasionally. I'm still checking out SDA, Ludendi and ESA channel just to find active speed runners to follow.

I'm very new to speed running. Although I've seen speed run videos of my favorite games in the past, I've never really know much about the speed running community, or even had any idea that there was such a huge speed running community out there. Not until I started watching SGDQ this year, and the recent ESA event as well on Twitch.tv.

Watching these events clears up many misconception I had about speed running, misconceptions that I think many others in the gaming community still have. Perhaps because most people have only seen videos like oblivion or morrowind done in a few minutes and just dismiss speed running as breaking the game. But after watching the many speed runs during these marathons, it made me realize that there's so much more to speed running than just using exploits. It has certainly encouraged me to work towards being good at the games I enjoy.

Anyway for now I'm just learning as a casual speed runner. I've managed to learn my favorite childhood game Jurassic Park (Sega Genesis), hopefully I'll be able to learn more challenging games next, lol. Don't know if I'll ever be good enough to be a serious runner in the future, but I hope someday I'll be able to contribute something to the community.
Super Meat Boy, Half-Life 2
Hello, I am smig. I like to go fast, but currently do not go fast enough. However, I have plans to go fast in the near future.
