Well, the video quality was terrible, the audio was subpar, the attempted humor was fairly unfunny, and the writing left a lot to be desired. I can't tell if you're taking this too seriously or not seriously enough...

Your video fucking pwned, pwned hardcore, had more skill than mike uyama's entire metal slug series of runs, made him look like a retarded baby with skill compared to that. In fact, I recommended several times in the IRC room to host your video link in the topic but no one seems to listen to me :(.

I request more videos of this caliber, preferably with similar video quality and commentary. In fact, I made a backup of your video just in case anything should happen to it so that the world will always remember it. Also, I sigged your latest response because its fucking awesome your gonna destroy that sonic record. At least "I"have faith with you, despite all these haters.

To be honest, I was more entertained by Tiki's comment on the video than the video itself. While I approve of comedy that does not rely on swear words to be funny, simply substituting them with non-swear words just doesn't do the trick, at least for yours truly.

However, the real reason why your humor didn't work out so well (for me) was that while it might work for some one not that familiar with the community, to me it sounds more like whining about how you are not potent enough to create a speed run and lack the stamina to pursue it. Sure, that might not be what you're after, but that's how it looks like from my point of view.

This video also reminds me of the works of dratsab, which isn't exactly a good thing. That said, I would like to quote what a wise man once said, and hereby tell you "lurk moar".

A tip on swearing: It's better to put the swear word inside of a word than after. Doesn't work with compound words or monosyllabic words.

Indeed. Swearing gets more effective the less it is used; this is something most people fail to realize when they build their jokes on profanities.

Let's take an example. If, say, Ridge Forrester from the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful" said just once "Fuck!" in the whole series to express his disappointment, that would be much more effective than Tony Soprano (from The Sopranos) saying the same thing.

I actually thought it was a pretty reasonable attempt, most people are too judgemental when it comes to stuff like this i.e. start making direct comparisions with AVGN because he's more professional. My biggest problem is that is came mostly across as whining instead of a general complaint.

There are several things you should probably know

1. Speedrunning gets far more recognition than TASes do. So there really isn't anything to be depressed by.
2. TASing is a bit more complicated than what you made it out to be and mistakes do get made in them.
3. Most people (including me) would choose to watch a good speed run over a TAS.
