I have been posting on these forums since earlier this year, but someday, I want to join Twitch or Hitbox and contribute something to speedrunning. My stream will be a bare-bones stream- just the game footage, a timer, and a description in the corner. I just want to know:
-What RCA and Mac compatible capture device to use.
-How to start and stop a timer. Don't even require splits.
-How to stream and highlight.
So far, I'm planning on streaming one game: Pink Pong, an unknown PS2 game. I'm planning on doing 100% Hard runs of it, which should be 2 hours. One day, I may even learn a day-long game, such as Digimon World 2. The world record holder, SmartBall, says that his run was "littered with bad RNG" meaning it's vastly improvable. Either way, I'd want to make a significant impact on a game rather than being some me-too bandwagon streamer for already popular and optimized games.
