Would anyone be interested in a run of the singleplayer on very hard easy?

Mission 1: 3:57: http://files.filefront.com/m1+357+HQmp4/;8298523;;/fileinfo.html
Thread title:
OOOHHHH ME ME ME that would be cool. Smiley
HW:C has the best storyline, it's the most uber-dramatic game I've seen, from space series.  I love the plot.
Game is practically very good, only thing I don't like very much is pretty bumpy design of most of the ships. Mothership aka Somtaaw mining ship is good, though.

If you can record the story sequences and put them outside of the run as well it would be just awesome. Greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance, I'm MOST eager to see this run, especially on very hard Smiley

Sorry, won't happen.  This site doesn't host story sequences, and I really can't be bothered to record them anyways.  Just play through once on very easy and keep all your autosaves if you want to see them.

What would you guys say to mission 1 done in < 9 mins?
Sure I could do that, thing is I'm too busy to do it. Barely play one game on my pc nowadays.

Haven't tried speedruning the game, so I have nothing to say about <9 approx time. Need to see the run itself Smiley

Major bump.  Mission 1 done, check first post.  Difficulty is changed to very easy so I can use it as a planning tool for very hard...

At least, that was the idea.  But the 'features' of very easy threaten to make that impossible.  Just check the checklist!

* build cost is quartered (but not retire cost, it's normal and therefore 2x the build cost... meaning, you gain money from building something and then immediately retiring it)
* build time quartered?  eighted?  something insane
* your firepower doubled
* enemy health decreased?
* enemy firepower decreased
* research time is at least halved, and probably quartered
* other mission-specific effects (such as fewer enemies, etc)

In short, very easy is trivial... oh well, at least a run will be relatively easy too.

Tell me what you think of mission 1.  For more info, check the prelim comments I have written up for it.

Code:
Mission 1:
   Letting the bombers kill the ion frigs satisfies that objective and lets the fighters spawn at the proximity sensor net, but is way too slow
   Triggers: Saving ion frigs + killing resource collectors triggers proximity net fighters
             Killing prox net fighters triggers cruiser running (but you can kill the cruiser before it runs)
             Killing cruiser and prox net fighters triggers end of mission

   Guarding something with a recon causes it to move faster, harvest faster, and possibly other less obvious effects.  This is why I made sure to include at least one in each group of fighters.

Mission 2 will involve balancing the triggers based on the destroyer's health with having enough su worth of fighters to kamikaze and trigger other stuff early.

(edit) random notes

fake support frigates hyper in at 40% health.
after that, health is capped at 75% until the derelict spawns, after which point it doesn't matter (I think the spawning is timed, but i don't know for sure)
Derelict appears at ~90% health.  This triggers the destroyer hypering out after a set time?
After all that, kill a wave of raiders that spawns at a randomized point.
Raider carrier spawns when the game tells you, so predict it.

(another edit) got 3:57 on m1 without building a processor.  I am nine seconds faster without factoring in the m2 improvements.  Will have a vid up sometime tonight.

(edit the third) replaced the 4:06 link.
