That's very nice of you and I sure would love to use the server, but as I said, I deleted everything, including the game and the saves. If I'm ever to get back to this game, I'll have to re-run it from the very beginning.
Currently occupying the grey area.

This is disappointing.

First of all, you should have started making this speedrun on a P A T C H E D game - version 1.06. This also would be needed for qualifying SDA rules.
This would have solved some of your technical problems too. I played Heretic alot, and can not remember any case that i would get instantly killed jumping into a wall. This is BS.
But i do remember a few cases where i would get stuck in strange places. Having said that i used to spend lots of time in Heretic II just doing shortcuts for fun.

The K'chekrik and the trap room was the hardest part in game and you recorded it, so i am quite disturbed by the fact that you will not progress after that.

If you had finished your run, i would have hosted your video in my own server btw.

to clarify, SDA accepts whichever run is fastest, no matter the version.

Right and Wrong..

First: a speedrun from version 1.0 of a game A can not be compared to a version 1.1 of the same A game... Different versions change gameplay elements..

But i assume you mean that for speedruns any version of the game fits as long as it is comparable with other speedruns of the same game version.

In my case, where i speedrun Painkiller, version 1.00 speedruns can not be compared to 1.64 speedruns, for example. Logic states this should be in all games..
Sup,

I'm heavily contemplating restarting my run now that Ruben Kusters (congrats, btw!) managed to get such a fantastic time in a single segment. I'm assuming he ran the 1.0 version of the game, seeing how he never utilised a single diagonal jump (could be wrong, haven't watched the entirety of it yet). I would do all the patching mumbo jumbo again to get the diagonal jumps and all the other goodies that come with it. I would do it segmented as before, but now that there's an SS run on the site on Easy, I imagine doing a segmented run also on Easy would be rather lame, even if it utilised nasty shortcuts and what have you. So, in light of that, and the fact i actually replayed the game casually some time ago on Armageddon and actually found it pretty easy overall, I shall be doing a segmented Armageddon run. If I actually do get back to it. Barely started a new job this month, already have very little time for any concievable gaming as is, but I really, really do crave me some speedrunnin'. I originally wanted to quench this thirst with a different game, but lolnopelet'snotgothere.

Would the formerly blazing interest in this happen to be still alight? I think a segmented Armageddon run would complement the SS Easy run nicely, especially as it would utilise tricks and techniques absent in the other run. So lemmekno, ukno. :3
