Thanks for taking the time to stop by my thread. I'm a relatively new streamer for Zelda: BotW and I made a video that I feel could help some people out.
So, a little back story. When I first played BotW I instantly fell in love with it. So much so that I wanted it to be the first game that I actually started streaming my speedruns for. But this proved to be a little difficult because none of the techniques(at least that I could find anyway, please feel free to link me to a place that proves me wrong! I'm always happy to acquire new information!) were shown in depth on any of the speedrunning guide sites such as ZeldaSpeedRuns or Speedrun.com. There was nothing that mentioned the EXACT buttons to hold down, which angle to walk at, etc. So this resulted in me just watching a technique be done and then trying to mimic it myself. After hundreds of tries I eventually got the hang of it. So I made a video, which I'll link down below, that shows how to properly do a shield skip in the Cryo Shrine for anyone who is also wanting to start speedrunning BotW. To the mods: I couldn't actually find any rules that stated promotion of video content isn't allowed so I just assumed it is allowed but if I'm wrong I am sorry and please let me know so I can delete the thread, or of course you can just delete the thread yourself and I would appreciate a message of some sorts that lets me prevent this in the future.
