Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (PS1)

I just started to speedrun the game. After I finished my First Run I wanted to check what the Wr is.. so i went on the internetsite http://speedrunwiki.com/Harry_Potter_and_the_Sorcerer's_Stone, where I found the Wr-time for PS1 of 2 hours and 6 minutes by Ben "Mkt" Fichter on July 31st, 2005 ... I think that time is possible..
So i wanted to watch his Video. There was this link: http://speeddemosarchive.com/HarryPotterSS.html But when I watch the Video theres another time of 1:29:12 another Runner: Oskar Angelmark and completly different game.
I think that Oskars run is on PC and not on an PS1!! Those 2 games where developed from different companies. e.g. all playstation Hp-Games where developed by EA. Some differences are: Theres a jumping-button on the right-mouse on the PC-version. In the PS1 version u have to run over a edge to jump... there are different spells...theres just vertical camera movement in PS1 version and there is differnet level design..

I hope that we will get it back in order so i can concentrate on my speedruns

I know nothing about these games, but I can at least confirm that the one on SDA is the PC version after a bit of looking; The title screen differences show it all, I am unsure as to why it's under the PSX category as well, unless there's something I don't know. I don't know if there's enough differences between the two versions, what the differences are between all the localizations, or anything like that, maybe the community for it decided there wasn't enough difference; Perhaps look around in one of the other threads for this game (there's a search feature for the forums), and hope someone from them are still around. Sorry I don't know enough to help you, I hope it gets sorted for you.

i didnt found anything. But i am sure that noone would put those two games into one runcategory.. it makes no sense at all Smiley

We believe the WR to actually be a run by Nitrofski that is 1:48:08, but the video is lost for that run, so it is a bit uncertain.
