Speed is the key.
I love tearing these easy games apart.

I'm pretty much done with The Philosopher's Stone for now, so I decided to start running The Chamber of Secrets. I know Mkt2015 made a run of the PC version, but it's a completely different game as far as I can see. The total time of this run will probably be somewhere around 2 hours, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I recorded the first segment today and it went pretty smooth, there's possibly 6-8 seconds of mistakes. I did the segment from the start till the save scroll outside the Leaky Cauldron, after I had gotten the Standard Book of Spells, Grade Two. The time was 12:53, loading screens excluded.

There are two visible mistakes in this segment.

-I had trouble picking up the Imp after knocking him down from his shelf, this was mostly because of the crappy camera angle. Lost 4 seconds.

-I accidently pressed A while walking past the locked door leading to Diagon Alley. Lost 2 seconds.

The random things (De-Gnoming, Imp battle) in this part went so well, so I didn't want to restart because of these tiny mistakes.

Edit: I've got segment 2 recorded, it's the Diagon Alley segment. I got all of Ginny's things and the potion vial. The time is 07:33, 2 seconds of mistakes.

Edit: I did segment 3 as well. I hate the Womping Willow part, it's so buggy that I have to rely on luck in many places. There's possibly 10 seconds of "mistakes" in this segment, but the hardest parts went very smooth, so I'll keep it. I ended the segment in the Entrance Hall, right before Flying practice.

I'll post the time for each segment here:

Segment 1 - 12:53
Segment 2 - 07:33
Segment 3 - 12:11
Segment 4 - 13:33
Segment 5 - 09:27

Sweetness! I own this and I think it's a pretty decent game, so I look forward to your run!

Keep up the good work!

Wow, I really got a reply! Shocked

Well, I don't really like the game, but speedrunning it has been fun... so far. I have done segments 1-4 and I hope to do segment 5 sometime this week. It's going to be a hard segment (Defense against the dark arts class), but I'll manage. The thing I hate most in the game is the Womping Willow, and I'm done with that. Cheesy

Thank you for your reply. Wink
