Of the user "T r i h e x". If you didn't know, there is actually someone on these forums named "T r i h e x" (With spaces as well), who did some speeruns.
Haha, when I was trying to get through the barrier the other day, I actually found that tripmine glitch. Not in the exact same fashion, but I just remember detonating one tripmine and the other just kinda stayed there. Interesting.
I'm working on a bundle of new trick jumps. I just finished my round tour of Unforseen Consequences, so I'll move onto Office Complex later today if I feel like it.
Nice jumps, btw. I did the first two about when this whole tricking project started (haha, no offense XD), and Spider did the elevator fall, if memory serves. For your last set, I especially loved the one where you tau boosted off the tower and landed on the alien. Very cool.
Yeah, I've done that hop before. I haven't done it from the right side yet, though. I did it from the left side, which took a considerable chunk of my health away = (

Just watched your demo, slynk, and I liked the sharp air strafing. I could never get enough speed, even in hlspbunny.
Usually I go a lot faster, but forced high sensitivity is killing me. Something wrong with my computer when I play Half-Life. It'll freeze at random points, and my mouse speed will change with every freeze. Sometimes it's slow, just the way I like it, other times, it's liekwo_Oa.
EDIT: In trick jump #5 I cheated to get a gauss gun because I was trying to traverse the rail quickly. I don't know if it is possible to keep that speed throughout the whole length of the rail.
CoooOol videos, LG. I loved 'em all. I'm gonna go get a gauss in BMI as well and test that out. I think I tried that before myself, but I may be thinking of something else.
Oh yeah, and I mentioned this before, but I wanna invite the HL2DQ guys down here to do some trick jumps with us. Once the final video for this monster is out, we'll release a trick jumping video, and that'll be that. It's an idea, anyways.

I'm always silently here, and I’m one of the HL2DQ:ers
I've had some tricks and such going on. Might post sometime soon, must just record some proper demos.
For HL1 or HL2? Or is the video going to have trick jumps from both games?
Both games.
EDIT: Oh yeah and LG, you know that tau boost you tried in BMI? You wouldn't happen to have that save, would you? I keep trying to cheat myself a suit and a tau there, but my game won't let me, so uh.... "help a brutha" out? = )
If I can somehow dodge the train, I think I can go a fair way with the tau cannon.

Hehe, that was fun, thanks. My first few attempts were awful, as I seemed to be losing all of my speed in a short amount of time, but I finally had a good attempt where I kept going faster and faster. The train is obviously frozen after the load zone, and I managed to jump past it, keep my speed, and eventually I made it to the end of the track. Yay XD!
I'm anxious to see how fast one really could go in this game, but there's no area large enough to test it out on. It was my thinking to charge up the tau, jump over 5 satchels, then when I land, fire another tau shot, then mortor boost. Can you imagine the speed? @_@;
We'd need a map to goes on for pretty much forever, and some sort of Halo-like Nav point to measure just how fast we're going. Ah well, fun to dream.

I think there's a maximum speed you can reach in HL, and 5 satchels pretty much already does the trick. Firing the tau shot wouldn't make much difference afterwards.
EDIT: wait a minute ... shouldn't you be in school right now?
