in this demo i managed to destroy the helicopter without firing one shot at it (or using any other weapon)
I used the mighty power of my new ally: the ichtyosaur

Notice how he sinks back down into the water after destroying the apachy and swimming around happily... and obviously very proud of his victory

I wish we could make a video around 1 or 2 hours long with stuff just like that

Wow, that fish demo was one of the coolest I've ever seen! I especially liked how the helicopter got stuck in the exploding animation without falling down. I didn't know the fish could attack inanimate objects; I thought he only attacked living things. I also thought the fish would be killed by the explosion, but it looks like he wasn't. Nice job with this one.

The fish actually does not want to attack the apache
Usually he just gets stuck on top of it and wont do anything
In order to make him attack you have to get infront of him and with lots of lock he will try to attack you.
With even more luck he will then hit the apache and for some strange reason keep attacking

Took me lots of tries to get a decent demo Smiley

Not sure if this is in Spider-Waffle's run, but in the last part of Forget about Freeman, the part where you have to navigate the hallway full of hornet aliens and turrets, I opened the door with the control pad, and when I walked through it closed automatically, without needing to press the yellow button.

I think I might have pressed the "use" key while going through the door.

It would have saved around 5-6 seconds.

He did that in his run, and it's an effect of the hornet gun. You can open and close doors, freeze elevators, whatever.

EDIT: OMG, liek, the intro is almost done : )

Editor says he has Thursday and Friday off, and it may actually get finished then. We shalt see.

Those explosion marks on the floor are from satchels aren't they? Or tripmines?

Something is strange about your screenshot. It is a .bmp (and loads accordingly slow) but its name ends with .jpg

I guess it's the fault of photobucket.com

They're from satchels.

The image was originally a bmp, but I guess photobucket converted it to jpg.

I miss those cool door glitches. The good ol' days of freezing On a Rail blast doors, the boxes, ect. ect. Genius discovery that was on your part, Radon. Tripmines and satchels.... wow. By the way, speaking of satchels, it'd be neat when you're flying through the air on top of the fish above ST's dam, to lay a couple satchels high in the air, drop down (infinite health door before this), and get a good view of 'em. What would be neat to try after that, would to damage boost from the bottom of the dam up to the floating satchels, then detonate them. Style jump mb? = P

Oh by the way, the intro is done.

Included is two variations of a shortcut on Surface Tension, and one of the last unexplored spots in the game. Was where I originally tried to get to the bottom of Surface Tension. That shortcut is tricky because the skybox can sometimes catch you up there, and what's even more tricky is the bunnyhopping. Can never really tell when to properly jump, because there's no ground, so it's all feeeeeelll = P

I also had an idea this morning that we should move into style jumping. Jump tactics or something. I've got a few interesting ideas up my sleeve. Explosions and the tau work very well.

I always knew I could get there by getting to the very bottom itself, then boosting, but I never got around to it for some reason until yesterday @_@;

How'd you get down there? Perhaps this differs from my method of getting into the secret room, snarking my way down to one level, then dropping down into a skybox to land on the very bottom. If you jump in the right spot down there, you explode. Funny funny XD

Visited my niece yesterday, probably the calmest, sweetest thing I've ever seen in my life. Of course she was born only 10 hours prior... Soon she will be a shitting bundle of affection. ROFL @ my brother. When my mother showed me the pink socks she bought her (she's obsessed), I couldn't believe that feet could be that tiny until I saw her's. Hard to believe we were all that tiny at some point ;o

LOL I remember doing that before. Funny thing is, if there's already a scientist there and you go back to the loading trigger, a second scientist will spawn inside him.

Oh, and I managed to get a snark past Gonarch's web, it shows that the clipping of that web is not perfect, but I failed to find out a way to exploit it so that you could skip the web. Maybe you could look a bit further into this.

Haha, much easier than how I got down there originally. In my defense, though, I had to do it with normal health = P

Good job on getting the snark through, by the way. I still can't think of a way to get Gordon through, though. Maybe if we got close enough and got shoved through somehow... gah, I don't know.

I know "HEHEHE" is old, but c'mon, hehehe. For the two glitches, I dunno if they're new. I think the second one is. Too weird. For the jumping, I have begun trick jumping, I suggest people join me! =D

I like Jump06 the best, personally. After the main tricking video is out, it would be cool to make yet another video, except consisting of all trick jumps. A lot of people can join in on THIS fun in particular as well, because it's not TOO hard. You don't even have to know how to bunnyhop, just think up other jumps.

Haha ... the second glitch never happened to me. Maybe it was because I'm too pansy to walk up the satchel and stare it in the face.

And very nice trick jumps. I really liked the one where you jump from one tower to another. If I get time, I'll try to come up with some of my own.

Oh, and it's possible to get through gonarch's web by tau boosting in HL: source.
