PoCari worked, and i think works on it. However, the results are nowhere to be seen. (Yes PoCari - i'm talking to you :P). This thread wasn't updated for, umm, some time. It is the discussion thread for it.
I'm finishing up my Half-Life glitch documents, my final batch of trick demos, then I'm upgrading to Steam so I can start my Half-Life speedruns. Steam demos work so much better than v.1.1.1.0 obviously. I'll be able to segment stuff 10x easier than I can with v.1.1.1.0, so I'll get right to work on They Hunger when I upgrade. Everything is set in place, and I'm the best guy for the job, so yeah....
I have A LOT of other Half-Life runs in the works, including improvements on a lot of the demo and mod mini-runs people have released. I'm hoping for Spider-Waffle type quality for all of my runs.
But, as it stands now, I'm wrapping up tricking (hopefully not for good). I'm also going to be steeped in Halo-related stuff for awhile, so there you go...
I figured I'd link these for everyone's convenience; they are Lost Coast runs all performed by Dark_Devil (though, they were all edited in movie maker, but little else was added to the video other than a soundtrack, so I imagine it's fairly tolerable for most):
This is mostly HL2 related, but since this thread is about HL games and it's stickied I figured I would ask here.
I was googling random things and came across this quote on some guy's deviantart page:

Yeah I completed it in 2 afternoons, on and off, it's shortish but fun. On a related subject, did you get the new PCG? They have a video of players speed-running through HL2, using glitches and things to pass through the game in about an hour and a half :XD:
They were talking about a gaming magazine, and I assume they meant PC Gamer. The quote was made on Jun 23, 2006. So... is there a PC Gamer June or July issue that mentions or somehow shows the HL2DQ speedrun??! I haven't heard of this and I have no idea how a magazine could have a video, but if anybody knows, I'm very interested.
Oh, and the guy that made the quote is from the UK, just in case the UK version of the magazine is different.
PCG comes with a demo disk (CD or DVD) which sometimes has movies on it. I just threw all my old PCG disks out, though, so I can't check.
I emailed the guy that made that quote, and he just recently made this response:
Quote:
Last month's PC Gamer (UK) on the cover DVD. There's also an article.

So, if anybody on this forum is from the UK and subscribed to PCG, I'd be VERY interested in seeing a scan of the article, or at least just the text. It's not every day something you helped make gets mentioned in a major gaming magazine. This may also be in the US version of the magazine, I haven't confirmed if it has or not.
Hey, i dont mean to intrude in this thread (i hope i put it in the proper thread/forum), but i would just like to know where the HL2DQ team got their hotkey macro? Or is that privilaged info? I'd just like to make speedruns too
