Hi

I download Quake 4 speed run video of H.264

I'm very impressed with H.264 because the picture look sharp clear. Hardly seen like pixel which I hate it anyway

How this capture video by H.264 ?

Which programs ?

Although its not recommended to use x264 in avi container, I don't remember exactly why its not. Anyway, use mp4 container instead. ballofsnow has written a nice guide which you find here.

h264 in avi isn't standard, it's just some hack someone put together. the reason you shouldn't make such files (or the reason that i don't, anyway) is that the compatibility for them is liable to break at any time, and things that don't have compatibility now (standalone dvd players, phones, etc) probably never will.

They mean the same thing. Both are used commonly.
