Well I streamed a couple of runs tonight, my stream seems to be good and stable. I'll be doing runs everynight at 9 P.M EST for anyone interested in watching.

my two runs last night were pretty bad, I had a 1:16 and a 1:13, but tonight I will be practicing a new route to hopefully make combat sections faster.

Watching your run right now and that death in the bomb room felt like a kick to the gut.

I have a while to go before I'm even close to you. Your movement is so much faster than mine :|

e: best case scenario in the grand temple room with the yellow skeletons each with a different shield is dash them all, rooster uppercut, and then Olmec in the air. Should kill two and then the last one's an easy juggle.

That's what I am hoping for, it's easily my worst room. I should still be streaming tonight but with less comentary, It's ironic that I start to lose my voice as I decide to start streaming haha.

I have run the game many many times and I still tend to make stupid mistakes, I think I could get sub 1:08 on a near perfect run.

Dunno what I would talk about, it's a suprisingly natural route. Few kinks to work out but otherwise it's borderline same as any% plus some side rooms until post-ToW. From there it's just a systematic sweep of what you haven't 100%d by then (Desert on way back, Forest + Orbs + Santa Luchita after Jaguar fight).

Also I figure you guys will know this by now, but El Infierno is not required for 100% by the in-game definition.

Is the 100% run not too hard on the brain? I have been interested in trying it but 100% seems so stressful about being able to miss things so simply.

Well as I said, still minor tweaks to happen, like returning to Temple of Rain to grab the first item pre-Great Temple and small things like that with a whole bunch of room strats to optimise (Santa Luchita with Goat Fly is going to be some fun).

I find the hardest to keep in your mind is the Forest.
Tule Tree you only return to so you can clear Treetops.
Temple of War is a full sweep on first run through.
Everything west of Forest, Maze orb included, is got after the fight with X'batay.
Only the one orb to backtrack to in the mountains as well.

The most likely place to lose track is either in Santa Luchita or missing an item in the Forest, as you go through it what...four times?
Do a run through 100% casually to just note where particular items are, aka where you need to backtrack to. I think you will get what I mean once you note those.

My feelings on The Demon Rush

I don't speedrun this game, but I just played through it yesterday and I want to say it's awesome. It's like a combination of Metroidvania and Beat'em up, two things I like a lot. Smiley

I still need to 100% the game, but is there a good video for reference speedrunning this game, in case if I want to pick it up.

Actually uyama, here's a fun little snippet if you haven't seen it. Isn't a route or anything useful, but still, cute.

I don't think there is actually a full run at a good level on the net (besides possibly buried in one of these guys twitch pages?). I literally found this thread by typing "Guacamelee 100% speed run" into google, that's how barren it is.
