you can't record 20 hours of gameplay onto a DVD

...but a DVD-recorder with a hard drive probably could; a 160 GB HDD can record up to 36 hours of XP quality recording, but continuously, I think the limit was 24 hours. Probably a case-by-case situation, not a standard, but I'm not sure.

I just tried the trial version of Game Cam. Well, I don't know... While recording there's a "remote" on the left of the screen (I couldn't find how to remove that) but the preview window in the right bottom can be removed by holding \ and pressing F4 (This is the default, can be changed in the Profile Manager). It recorded pretty good while playing (But I think some "sheering" or however that's called occured sometimes) but the output video wasn't all too great Smiley Very dark and no sound (Can probably be changed in the registered version I think. There's a hotkey to change the brightness but it's for registered versions only. I've got no clue about the sound). I also got the feeling that the output video was playing faster at some points. And the logo in the output video is probably because it's a trial, I doubt that they'll leave it in the registered version.

I'm not really convinced about this program yet... Wink

Oh yeah, Daniel good luck in whatever way you're going to accomplish this Grin

There's more than one DVD in the world you know. Wink

Yeah, but no one wants to see the runner pause for several minutes while he changes DVDs.

But, what would be better? Watching a 100% SS run of this game while he pauses for several minutes to switch DVDs, or not watching a 100% SS run of this game. It's better than nothing.  Grin

Even if he doesn't use DVDs.  Tongue

The pause gets edited out when you submit it.

I assumed that changing DVDs while pausing automatically makes it segmented.

I know. If you edited it out, people wouldn't know if he cheated/segmented it.

Nope. Segmented is where you save in game. SS is when you don't use any of the game's save points and play in one continuous sitting. Pausing to switch VHSs/DVDs doesn't make it segmented.

Run like hell!
So, then its possible to run single segmented this game, because you can pause it while you sleep.  Wink
...But i can't wish you a system crash to loose works of days.

hehe, i asked daniel if he do segmented but he answered :

"No, it wont be the same thing".

He's plan is to wait for hes parents to go on vacation and then play all day long Cheesy
figured out everything in gamecam now and have an question about fraps, how much fps should i use when recording with fraps?
Existence as you know it is over
Definitely not 60 fps, that will demolish even the biggest of hard drives in a couple hours.

Daniel: 2006-12-10 05:43:50 pm
15 fps gives me 30 minutes
20 fps gives me 22 minutes

and i want it to be 25 minutes
should i use 17.5 fps?
but with 17.5 fps it looks slowmotion.
