Following every GDQ, the speedrunning community sees a huge influx of gamers who want to get involved, but don't quite know how to get started. As an answer to this common question, SRL will be hosting a series of races over the next 3 Saturdays to help provide an opportunity to do so.
The races will be as follows:
January 16th, 2pm EST / 7pm GMT - Mega Man 2, beat the game (normal)
January 23rd, 2pm EST / 7pm GMT - Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage, 40 Orb
January 30th, 2pm EST / 7pm GMT - SMW2 Yoshi's Island, any% (warpless)
In addition, for each race we will be restreaming 4 of the top runners of the game, with live commentary. So even if you can't make it, you'll be able to watch the progress of the top racers at http://www.twitch.tv/speedrunslive
