Durr, nothing to report just yet. Not that anyone is asking or anything. But I am going threw the game and having a friend play threw as well on my PS2 copy so we can talk routs. I am considering not getting any gear till the Twilight set, and also making that the only set I get. It is expensive but with the cash not spent I can spend it on xp... still debating in my head along with testing a bunch of things before I start recording. So please dont expect any info/updates all too often.

Using the first post as a note pad for stuff. I will be doing a bunch of tests and far more research on everything to be sure everything is optimal for the final set of strats.

Also allows others to pop in and see what all I have been working on and see just how far I am from finishing planning my rout proper. as of now, I think the first post covers 90% of the game. I am only missing the last area of the game. The lists will be revamped as I gather more info.

I have started to record segments. I have ended up segmenting a lot more than I would have liked, but the strats need it. I currently have the first 10 segments recorded and the save file is at 28 min. I am currently about 6-8 min ahead of my YT video being at the same spot. I am currently in Munari City right in front of the armor shop.

I will soon be uploading my WIP so everyone can ask questions and make suggestions.

Edit: Videos uploading now

Yup, doing this again. Getting almost everything figured out. Right now the big hump is The Valley of Khargathalan. I am trying different things now. But overall I have not found anything that works...

If I can get past this single hump, I cant think of anything later in the game that could give me much trouble.

Back to this game again. This time with a  route change that SHOULD get me past Valley of Khargathalan. That is currently the only hump this game has. Once I get past it, I dont see anything really stopping quick progress.

So I plan on making one of two detours. Either go to the ruins of hosporis so I can open the magic shop thus giving me WAY more money, or abusing the Gadjama’s Bodril money bug. I will be testing over the next week or 2 to see what one is faster/safer as I do plan on doing a single segment run in the future.

Simple overview: Wall has been overcome. Just need to rout the rest of the game now.

A bit more detail: So having money to buy the gear makes this SUPER easy compared to the way it was. Follow the story as you normally would but open the magic shop. I am still working on the best route to open it though. As of right now, I buy armor and weapons in Munari City and start the shop quest after getting armor. Once I talked to the guy at the top of the market district, I head to get it open ASAP. I believe it would be better to go to Hospis after the arena segment because it allows the bodrill side quest to be able to be started and set up while in your way out of the arena to go to the Adytum of the Unseen since he is on your way out of Munari City. Then once out, head to Hospis then when getting the Iris Gem, open the shop and do the second part of the bodrill quest as he is right outside the magic shop. The only issue is having the 5000 gold on hand once you are out of the Adytum, in order to finish the bodrill segment. Since only a few characters are being used, I guess I should only get the gear I need until I get money to get all the gear needed for the Eleh Caverns. And with the money to get the twilight gear, the last half of the game is WAY easier. I still need to map out the gear needed at specific times and how much money I really need before stopping the bodrill quest. As of right now, I stop at 200k gold. I might go till 225k or so and see if that makes getting weapons at the palace easier. I think twilight armor should get the threw easily, but I need to have the weapons, no excuses.

Current issue is now effectively getting through Tamirath Citadel in a quick manner. All enemies seem to be rather close as to what they are resistant to. Blunt and fire work well all around with the exception of Tamirath Tree being very resistant to blunt but VERY weak to fire and Living Armor(Yellow) being very resistant to fire. I have been using taking Morbizan a my 3rd member. I think this has been my mistake. I will be testing taking Neru in hopes he will help with damage output vs the boss and overall during the area. I will also need to remap out my skill point distribution for Maia and Neru.

Found out that while in the towers in the Valley of Khargathalan that they are all the enemies are undead, making the Destroy Undead spell WAY TOO GOOD.

I found out a bit more about the bodril bug. In order for it to work, you need to offer to buy it from him but not have the money on hand. Then leave the area and come back with enough money. Then he will gladly give all the gold in the world to you so long as you stay there and never leave. I also believe it would be best to both open the magic shop and use the bodril until I have about 300k gold. That will be about 4-5 minutes of talking to this guy, but saves SO much time later in the run for having the proper gear for everyone. It also takes about 5ish min to take a trip to Hopir to open the magic shop witch makes having... just had a brain storm, not gunna open the magic shop any more. Well, at least test my theory.

I am thinking about updating the first post soon with more specifics about specific areas.

Munari City route
When in munari city, purchase the gear needed and sell items so when done you have more than 5000 gold but less than 6000 gold. Proceed through as normal but when you enter the areana district,  purchas the bodrill then go as normal. When reentering munari city to get the iris gem, talk to the music salesman in the market then enter the normal iris door in the harbor. Once in, leave immediately and talk to the bodrill guy and offer to buy it. Once done, go back into the audititum and do things normally.  Once you leave, get all the mo ey needed fro. The bodrill guy.

This is the most efficient way I have been able to come up with.

Vally of Khargathalan
Do not run by everything with the tower just not worth the issues it provides. First tower is Yago and Sangaril, second tower is Morbazon and Neru, third tower is Mia and Turgras

Will edit this post wth more details and typos, just needed to get it on paper.
Willing to teach you the impossible
So a fellow Summoner player took the time to send me a message on twitch and was interested in seeing a run of this. So he found me streaming (and I dont stream too often any more) and wanted to see a demo of the route I had. I did over the course of 2 sittings for him and it made me realize how close I was to finishing routing the game (how close I was to the end) and also found some new strats and solved the wall knows as Vally of Khargathalan. With that, Im back at it and I also believe that the time will come down drastically. Expect this to be coming along and updated first post soon.
Willing to teach you the impossible
Finally done building the full route. Anyone with ideas for improvements please feel free to chime in. I will test/add them in.
NOTE: test walking through eleh fragments
Rad... They have taken me...
I really liked this game and may be interested in running it. Any of you guys still around, any resources available?
