SDA Apprentice -- (3-1)
Right now I'm planning a speed run for Crackdown, and while I was coming up with idea of how to get crackdown finished in under two hours, I came back to something I was planning on doing earlier, and that was a co-op run...

If anyone is interested in teaming up to do a run (and if you have a recording device), please PM me to see what we can come up with plans...

However, while I maybe asking for assistance with this, I also wanted to know something more about coop speed runs... If I'm not mistaken, the only coop speed run I could recall was a chip 'n dale (although that might had been taken down) and the co-op run I have in mind wouldn't actually be split screen (for anyone who has played crackdown knows what I'm talking about...)

Here is my question... Is this type of co-op allowed?  Split screen makes sense and a full screen would too, (as seen in Castle Crashers) but in this case where you would have only one full screen for each player (and how each player can be on the other side of the US or world) would this actually be allowed?  The idea I thought I was told previously about in this situation was how each player would have to record the play session at the same time on their sides, this way to show that there was no cheating that was being done or how someone could be doing something off the screen that isn't allowed...  I also tried to see if I could find this in the rules, but I don't think this was touched on as well...

I think the Doom II run goes by what you're thinking of - two screens, two videos.

And it was decided some time back (I can't remember what thread it was) that if the action takes place not on the same screen for MP, then you have to record from both machines/systems.
