well, the stuff present in GX made the runs belong to different categories. what i meant is that no category has a full set of vids in GX, making the set that was sent quite useless.
also, the reason Mad_Andy posted is the real reason why the vids were rejected.
if someone wants to Spacefly the whole game and record the runs live, then that person will get the chance to send in GX runs to SDA. the problem is that Spaceflying is almost like using Secret Worlds to beat the game and that violates SDA rules (unless GX becomes a special situation and Flying is allowed)
Spaceflying is a "tech" that allows you to complete the track by flying around and skipping all of it by touching the necessary checkpoints. some tracks' times are under 30 and 20 seconds (there's even a track you can complete in less than 15 seconds)
So Radix rejected the runs because replays give no proof of their time? In that case, there's one simple solution. If there is to be a page for F-Zero GX on SDA, all runs must be live.
As for the snaking/spaceflying thing, why not just make separate categories for Max Speed, Snaking, and Spaceflying (if it's allowed)?
Of course the solution is simple. The problem is that neither me or any other world GX players can be bothered to produce such videos.
EDIT: Radix said max speed and snaking would be ranked separate. I told him about spaceflying but he never gave a yes or no, so i wouldn't go ahead and produce vids for that.
I could ask the german elite: Chrizzle, Stiff, Mahrla or Falcon to do some live videos for all categories. Well...but I would prefer to see some world record replays than watching for example a 5 sec behind WR live video :P.
If the videos should be live with the time displayed, why still no 50Hz? 50/60Hz (PAL/NTSC) comparison was never a problem at SDA (only in the communities itself ;D) if the timing is not different. There are also no different categories between Goldeneye or Mario Kart 64 runs for example.
If you see no difference then either you're lieing or you're blind You gain roughly 1 second every 3 when playing on 50hz.
EDIT: Got the ratio wrong, i corrected it.
First of all: I am not a lier, and i take this a little personal - but you're right, i was wrong. the game really runs slower on 50 hz - but i didn't see it until i checked it with a stopwatch.
