Light Speed! *shoom!*
I know of an extremely cool Super Metroid break that can pretty much instantly end the game. It sets off the Zebes self destruct mechanism (without the timer) and lets the player get into the ship and fly off, ending the game early.
It only requires the glitch where the plasma and spazer beams are equipped at the same time. Basically, the player goes up to Crateria and heads to the first entrance door, the one to the left of the ship. Open the door, turn around, and fire the glitch beam, then move inside and the sequence will be active. Going back out and entering the ship will end the game.
Is this glitch legal in a speedrun? It's not a warp glitch, technically, because the player just breaks the sequence and ends the game instead.
