I do think so,guys! If this happened 8 bit 16 bit and 64 bit console will be in the same split.
Think about it
jaguar colleco-vision nes snes sega sega-genesis sega-cd n64 psx and a few more!! It would be ridiculous, don"t you think!
It should be by generation like: Atari, coleco and older shit!(80 to 87) nes sega (88 91)(not sure about the year thought) The 16 bit invasion lol! snes sega(even sega cd)... 32 bit and 64 bit---- psx,N64 and .... 128 bit----PS2,X-Box,Dreamcast and the new gen (revolution,X-box 360,PS3)---- and the handled consoles(you know them!!!) +pc of course(the MIGHTIEST EVER)!!
Yes, moving N-64 and PS1 to older consoles will mean a long time period and high number of consoles on the older consoles forum. However, older consoles has a lot less topics and seems to get less replies, so this shouldn't be a problem.
Sega Forum (DC,MD,Sms,Sat,...) Nintendo Forum (Nes,Snes,Gba,N64,...) Sony Forum (Ps1,2,3,Psp) Xbox Forum (Xbox,360) Other System (Jag,3do,Msx,Amiga,................)
I realize this topic is old and dead but I'm adding my thoughts anyway. If this ever becomes a real issue this is what I would like to see, personally:
Sony/Xbox Forum (newest consoles) Nintendo Forum (everything nintendo since nintendo seems to have the most systems including gameboys and such) PC Forum (by itself as usual) and Old (or Other) Consoles Forum (everything else like sega systems and Atari, etc.)
So instead of 5 forums as displayed in the above quote (actually 6 because he failed to mention PC), the 3 speedrun discussion forums could be expanded by adding only 1 extra. IMO, my idea is most efficient. By just reading the forum titles there would be no question as to which system belongs in which forum.
Also, if you move ps1, n64, and other "64-bit" consoles to Older Consoles forum, that forum would have too much discussion going on all at once don't you think? Can a forum be too active? There'd be quite a lot of bumping and topics just might fall off to a second page (well, probably not but I hope you get my point) which is rare now for any active thread on any forum here.
While I'm still on the subject of forum enhancement, I want more features!
