Hi

I've been browsing this forum once again.. hit Ctrl-A.. started reading..

Wait, why did I hit Ctrl-A? Ah yes, because light green on light grey is hard to read without. I didn't even notice I'd been hitting Ctrl-A all the time..

is it just me or does anyone else have trouble reading here?
Thread title:
I'm addicted to games
green?
Ben Goldberg
For me, the text is black.

that greenish color for links..

I'm talking about this one, however you might call it. Not easy to read, right?

reading threads is ok (except for links and usernames), reading the forum-index can be a pain without Ctrl-A.

That's blue on my computer, and my school's computer. Source says it's #33ccff. Visited links are the same color (which is like, breaking one of the top rules of web design, but...).

I actually just realized this the other day... but, that's standard on forums really. You have the whole "unread posts" icon that you use instead. Of course, guests dont have that.  Tongue

call it blue if you want, it's something between green and blue for wich I lack the proper english name.. my point is that it's hard to read on grey background. Is it really just me?  Huh?

can everyone else read this text without eyestrain?

I can, but I have young healthy eyes. I can see that on the lightest gray background, it could be hard to read for some.

I think that you would call that color teal  :P. It's preety easy for me to read.
Hell is where the heart is.
It's more a cyan than a teal, but even then it isn't. It's blue. :-)

Yep I find it hard to read... Regardless of its name, it has way too low contrast to the gra/ey background.
I'm on a LCD monitor, and the only piece of green on this page is the little green stars under the uber-user's handles.
The forum is easy to read, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about. Maybe you should show us a screenshot of what you see.. or fiddle with the brithgtness/contrast on your monitor.

Ya, I guess it is, but I was responding to this...

no use sending a screenshot, it won't look any different than the forum looks to you on your monitor. To see how it looks for me, you need to come over and look at my monitor, after having my eyes implanted.

It's hard to read on 3 different monitors on 2 different operating systems and with 3 different browsers. It's not the display. Maybe it's really my eyes.

Anyway, Mozilla rocks, so.. userContent.css

Code:
a:link[href^="http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/"] { color: #ffffff !important; }
a:visited[href^="http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/"] {      color: #ccccff !important; }
a:hover[href^="http://speeddemosarchive.com/yabb/"] {      color: #ffffff !important; }

white links, and light grey visited links. ugly, but readable.
The black text on the grey background is easy to read... I don't know what you're talking about...

Is your name Brad Cutler? He has a problem telling the difference between green and blue a lot...cor!
