Oh although I wasn't taking part of the Marathon is your Wii account a PAL or a NTSC user because the gift feature doesn't work on mixed users.
Eg:

Keepsake's NTSC Wii sending me Mega Man 2 (NTSC) for my PAL Wii as a gift.
