So I was actually going to request this game, however I was very unsure what we do with a game this old on PC, you can't run it on XP but I happen to have a copy of it. before I requested it I wanted to know what would have to go down to actually speed run this game though.

The music in this game is absolutely wonderful and I have already ripped it from the disc but I can't fathom how to even play this game Undecided

Is a speed run of this game actually possible?
How would you play this game without a windows 95(Graphics aren't that bad actually)?

There is a way I am sure to play it but I am a noob at computer stuff you see Smiley
Hence why I put this in tech support...

well that doesn't help me much then, but good suggestion, google didn't turn up much yet. Isn't there a Jill of the Jungle Speed run up somewhere? That game is older than this.

well i know a lot of older games (like doom now on steam) run off dosbox. But i am not a per say expert on it, and i don't know if it would run your game...

Just checked... apparently he couldn't even get the whole Jill of the jungle game to run on XP correctly...hmmmm. My only idea is to run a virtual console or something. I stick this game in my drive and it will not run, yet I can see all of the files and data for it(which is how I ripped the music off of it, very bitchin)

This is definitely a PC only game, I am very desperate to play it so I can at least scope it out to see if it was speed runnable. Its never even been referenced on SDA to my knowledge.

I actually found a reliable way to play a game like this and even a few ways to record the game play. I asked one of my old college instructors about it today and you can use a virtual console to run a windows 95 in a window on your XP, vista, Windows 7 desktop. You can run fraps or whatever on the modern PC but since its sharing the same monitor it should theoretically record the stuff on the virtual console as well so just maximize it.  I got a good hands on look at this stuff when I was in a Linux course last semester and it looks like it should work. You can even download the same DirectX software from back then as well so that's everything I should need to at least play it, whether this will meet up to the SDA standards in the future I have no idea.
all that trouble i woulda got it to work wit dosbox
