FF1 on the GBA can potentially be SS'd though.

And, we can't forget Sikyo is doing FF1 on the NES <_<
I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

Yeah, because nobody's as crazy as I am to try doing a Final Fantasy SS. Wink

Youre probably right about that... Grin
My feelings on The Demon Rush
I thought this run was going to get a lot more verifiers.  I never knew this game was so unpopular Wink Anyways, if anyone wants to verify this run PM me and I'll tell you how.
Everything's better with Magitek
*No verifiers makes Essentia cry...*
the sheer amount of popularity caused unpopularity with everyone thinking "no way he'll pick me ..."
...
I would volunteer to verify, since I'm very familiar with FF3. However, as you can see, I'm still new, and I don't think you'll accept new people as verifiers.
100% runs=great to watch
Also, you NEVER should post in a topic saying that you will verify something....that is supposed to be between the would-be verifier and mikwuyama_vg.
...
Exactly my point, getter.
Since it got pulled from the verification list, I thought there were enough verifiers.

What do you mean?  It's still on the verifier list...
My feelings on The Demon Rush
I have enough verifiers now, I won't be taking any more verification requests.
I must have missed it on my first glance.  My bad.
Yay, the speed run is up! I'm torrenting right now! This is going to be awesome!

Oh wow, I'm off the internet for a few days (got my wisdom teeth removed), and just as I get back on, my run is posted!  I was really not expecting it to be up so soon.  I hope everyone enjoys watching it!  You might want to skip the fish catching part, though; I almost cried at that part...;)
guffaw
FWIW, I messed up the date on the archive page (June instead of July). I've committed a fix but it will take some time to propagate.
the Watching Shadow
Congrats Essentia!

Well, with the popularity and exposure FF6 has..I'm not surprised it's up so soon xD.

I'm addicted to games
It is a crazy good run. The only odd thing I noticed was in the opera, you didn't go straight to the balcony - why is that?

Now we just need a 100% run.  Wink

IIRC Celes' next line (where she throws the bouquet) happens at a specific point in the song, so if she is moved to the end of the balcony right away, she just stands there until the proper point in the song comes up.

Great job Essentia!
Also tenkiforecast
Just freaking brilliant. 0_0;;;

*mass awe*
Now I just need to clear out a five hour block of time to watch it. =|
100% runs=great to watch
If I don't go out tonight, and dreamhost doesn't act up with some "download completed" well before it should be done filesize wise (seems to happen in these last several months whenever "popular" runs crop up...but not consistently), this will be what I'll spend tonight watching.

Be it tonight or tomorrow though, I feel good times lie ahead for those hours.

yeah like you did anything for this run. Tongue
Boo.
It is a work of love that I have just watched from beginning to end non-stop. Admittedly, not as much of a feat as running it Smiley

The focus displayed throughout the movie is baffling, after 4 hours you still remember each set of equipment changes and item rearrangements and whatnot and then you have to do these crazy command sequences at the very end.

Bravo. Thank you for running my favorite FF game in a way I envisioned could only be done in a TAS. Bravo.

Yeah, chessjerk got it.  You have to wait till a certain point in the song before anything happens, so I thought I'd do something in the meantime besides just standing there.  Just wondering, what would a 100% run entail? Wink

Lag, if you feel that bad, you can include yourself in "all those who gave me help or encouragement on the SDA forums". Wink

kernelman, I had a cheat sheet for all the equipment changes I needed to make in this run, so that I didn't have to have every single one memorized.  I usually looked ahead and memorized equipment changes during cutscenes, but the order I'd do the changes was always different, depending on what had happened earlier in the run and where the cursor was last in the menu.  (Yes, I tried to take that into account so the changes could be as fast as possible.)
