So, this is my first post on the site and I just wanted to say Hi. Now, for the good stuff.

In the Video, I describe Elephantgun/Yohosie as a male (I think). Sorry about that for anyone offended =D

At the moment, I am uploading a video describing and showing how to get General Leo without cheating, fully functional, in the World of Ruin without cheating. This was found abusing the Airship Glitch that was posted by someone named Elephantgunner, which I am sure you guys have heard of. He told me that there was a post here related to his LP, but I searched for anything related to it for about 10 minutes and I couldn't find anything. I was simply going to post it there.

I've been wondering for years and searched for a while for a way to get Leo without using cheat codes. I was trying for a while just to exit Thamasa, but it seems the game removes basically any and all events in the game once you gain control of Leo. Able to get off screen and go into repeats of the town, but that was it. I was actually inspired to start again when someone during an AGDQ playthrough of FFVI by Essentia mentioned something about gaining control of Leo. I found it quickly and as it turned out, he didn't find it yet. He (Elephantgunner) did although, find a way to do so on the GBA which he will post sometime shortly I believe.

Anyway, it's going to be a bit before it uploads to youtube and for the time being, I am going to be sleeping. Once I wake up, I will get the link and edit it into this post. I hope you guys enjoy it, though the quality isn't the best. I may re-upload it later if I don't like it, but before taking down this one.

(HD Version is up)

If you don't want to hear me, here's a guide on how to do it. Also a cheat code in there (SNES) to have the Airship when you enter the menu and leave it (to expedite the process if you don't want to run the entire thing, this does not affect the glitch).

http://www.gamewinners.com/faq.php?game=f/FinalFantasy6-GetGeneralLeoWoR-WWatson.txt

This took me about a day and a half to find once I learned about the Airship Glitch. I used cheat codes to reach the Floating Continent a lot faster, something like 20-30 minutes to get to it. I probably did about 30 runs of the game before I found this.
Thread title:
I am posting here because I am contractually obligated
Yeah, that's right...! If you wait that long next time, you'll be canned.
But yeah, this is really impressive.  I like it. I hadn't thought about this process. Combined effort of many heads, etc etc
Wasn't everything about Leo already discovered by someone going by the tag of Yohosie?
yohosie sounds like a name for a bitch who i would like to slap and push in the mud
That's surprisingly abrasive for someone you might not know much about, and may have similar interests.

I'm just saying, I'm fairly certain there's someone ahead of you guys on this.

I'm not sure why I initially posted under that name I ahven't used in years. I am Elephantgun. Your mind has been blown. It was the name I initially wrote the Let's Break under.

Everything I said still applies, I would slap myself & push myself in the mud
WWOOooooaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Eat shit Dacidbro.

But yeah once again I like this process a lot, it's really clever and may open up some other avenues I'd like to play with.

Also contractually obligation to mention I'm a girl due to the OP. It's OK. People assume.
See that's why I thought there was a problem Tongue  Elephant was referred to as a dude.

Well FUCK YOU YOHO.
Just btw, I am going to re-upload the video. I really dislike the quality of the last one and I didn't realize I could make something way better with a small enough file.

Also, Dacid, I didn't know she was a girl until just recently. I literally started talking to her yesterday lol
I was probably the guy who mentioned getting Leo at SGDQ.  I was still putting the finishing touches on a "show off a bunch of things with that glitch" route at the time, and that was part of it.

Incidentally, here's a three-part stream I recorded in September: 1 2 3
Thank you Nitro. In the process of uploading an HD version of the video and going to take down the crappy version. It's actually uploading surprisingly quick.

In all seriousness, I'm in the middle of writing some sort of Let's Break Final fantasy 6: Version 2, like the one I did for Something Awful 2~ish years ago. If anyone's willing to collaborate, I'm willing to make it a joint thing and pool our collective heads. Especially with the new GBA-specific glitch I found, there's a lot of new avenues for glitches opening up. Especially with how long these damn glitches take to document and test.

I wasn't aware Leo was mentioned during SGDQ, I honestly didn't watch

EDIT: Changing the phrasing, I'd actually love to. I think Let's Breaks are a really good avenue to document these glitches in an informative and interesting way.
I'll check out your PM and see if I can make heads of how to do the GBA version. I mean, apart from getting Kefka (Which is my next goal and I believe will be very easy to attain), what else could possibly be done? Well, apart from keeping Leo in the roster when changing players.
Being able to use the airship at any point as often as you want is extremely huge, there's a lot you can potentially do. It'd need to be experimented with.
Apart from using an Airship in the WoR before you're supposed to, I can't think of a single thing that can't be done yet.
Singing Leo, a party full of raft glitches come to mind. I'm sure there are more, that's why it needs to be played with.

Well, I guess I'm to tired to think about it. I can think of maybe a thing or two I could do, now that you mention it.
Is everybody in this thread the same person?
WOW.

I think so.
NEW CATEGORY: Beat the game with Vicks (Biggs is a chump; Vicks stole my heart from the start), Wedge, Leo, and Locke dressed as a merchant.
Wedge and Leo use the same character slot, so that may be difficult.
As of right now there's no way to get General Leo added to your party officially to enter Kefka Tower, and regardless when you fight the final boss you can't select the weird characters you acquired, so that can't really be done unfortunately.
