Can I speed run an NES/SNES game on the FC Twin? Or do I have to speed run the game on the actual system? I'm guessing it would be ok to use the FC Twin but I just want to check to make sure.
Thread title:
Afraid not, clone systems can run with different timings. Depending on the game, you can run on an actual NES console, SNES console, Wii Virtual Console, or official later-generation re-release (like Mega Man Anniversary Collection.) (they won't necessarily be the same categories.) But it must be on an official Nintendo console.

Dang it, ok thanks.
just curious...the fc twin isn't an emulator?  i've never heard of it before
Waiting hurts my soul...
fc twin is hardware emulation not made by Nintendo:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Twin_Video_Game_System

You'll see that some games just won't work with it, which indicates imperfect emulation.

FC Twins rule. My friends and I bought one cheap a while back.  It stopped working about a year later, but that was probably due to a drunken rage while playing Super Ghouls. We plan to replace it with that one that also plays Genesis games.
