So they go through all that trouble, and in the end, they bring back a penis with an eyeball on it..

>_>

Anyways, run looks great, accept!

Cool run, definitely well planned and executed. I'm familiar with many D&D games, and I've played a few of the first person games in the series. Also I've played this game specifically, but not to completion.

Gameplay starts at 1:06, last hit on Xanathor is at 17:00, so I time the run at ~15:54, 1:10 faster than our current any% SNES time.

Accept!

Might be magic...
I've only played the PC version before, but the game levels look exactly the same. Very nicely played, sir.

Also agree with Lag.Com's timing (15:54)

Accept.

I haven't played this game at all, but the run looks good to me.  Accept

Gotta love that a lawful good party - including a cleric with spells to spare - just leaves an injured guy in a dungeon...

Everything seems pretty well planned out and executed.

A few random wall bumps every now and then but that's to be expected in a game like this. Nice evasive maneuvers to avoid spells and damage with a party that has seemingly low health, too.

Quality's solid, so I really have nothing else left but to say this should be accepted.

So due to the server issues last month the runner had sent in an improvement but then the file got lost.

I have linked the new version above in the second post. Comments should be unchanged, since those were not lost.

I crossed out old responses, but feel free to edit them rather than make new posts.
Well.. that would explain the disconnect between the runner's comments and the final boss fight..

Holy crap, that improvement. More AI co-operation and a quick(ish) kill on the final boss. If I accepted the last one, I better accept this.

Gameplay starts at 1:56, Xanathor commits suicide at 14:09, so I time the run at ~12:13, wtf.

Accept.

Is there any point for me to watch it?

I accepted the previous one, I will obviously accept an improvement.

Meh.. guess I better watch it. Cheesy
...

So the penis was no less weird the second time.

Accept.
Might be magic...
Once again, those noble heroes in the witness protection program save the realms in record time.

An even better time than the previous attempt and it uses the nice animated ending. Good show.

Accept.

I got a weird rainbow effect at 4:53 in the video that I've never encountered before.  A/V is fine otherwise, and I didn't notice any cheating.  Not sure why the file is so big though... is it the raw file?

Definitely a more significant improvement than I first thought.  The lawful good party actually revives the random wounded guy this time, but at least they immediately dump him, so I guess it's still kinda amusing.  And I guess what I thought was the death trap before must have actually been a fireball... no wonder it seemed underwhelming at the time.

I don't know what happened @4:53. I noticed it while I was recording the gameplay. I've checked all the wires connected to the console to the elgato capture card and to the tv and they are all properly secured. My guess is that it came from the console itself because I didn't have any more weird effects in the gameplay afterwards.

As far as the file goes. I guess you can say it's a straight raw file. In the Elgato Software I only edited the video that I want to use to upload gameplay and then outputs the video in MP4 Format. The original raw file is broken down into different file extensions only the Elgato Software can read and edit.

The reason I picked up Taghor into the party then dropping him immediately was for his Axe because I didn't have luck getting a Mace drop for my second ranger in the previous level. It's not my intention to pick him up into the party because he wasn't necessary in my run. In a casual run he is nice to have in the party until you find Dohrum and Kirgar later.
The video thing is minor and fleeting enough that I don't consider it a big deal, especially because it's pretty obviously not anything nefarious.  Weird stuff happens, and this definitely seems to qualify.

Yeah, the file size seemed about right for a raw video.  Shouldn't be too hard to get the final encode down to a more reasonable size, especially with everything in one file.

Regarding Taghor, I just find it amusing as a D&D player that the lawful good party in runs for this game doesn't act as a lawful good party should for the sake of speed. Wink

If it's a file size issue then I have no problem encoding the video down further. It's just that having to do one extra step is all.

Lol i suppose you're right about the Lawful Good Party not as noble as they should be. Maybe the next time I should have my party set to chaotic neutral hahah.
Decision posted.
