I could put my character to move in the 3D world during an animation, just like we used to do in Evoland 1. But it's very specific, you need to level up at the same time as the animation starts (that can be a chest opening, door opening, platform appearing, etc)

I made this image for the solutions of the fastest library puzzles in my opinion: http://imgur.com/EtyjsSl

Hm, you think the color puzzle is faster than the lazer puzzle?

That maana is probably faster to get than the one in past genovas library, considering I can't think of a reason to actually go into past genova at all anyway.

EDIT: Or wait, is it in present Genova?...thats when you get Dalkins seal too.

So the 4 fastest maana fairly early are probably

1) Windy Valley Moutain climb, behind the 10 breakable blocks halfway up. (if we find out someone else's ulti is better then we can use this to upgrade to level 2 at the start of the fragment hunt)
2) Ice Cavern 3D time
3) Wiking Village? (Not exactly sure where this one is)
4) Windy Valley before Magilith by a few seconds over Genova present library
I often confuse myself with the mirrors, but I don't know if it requires less movements though.

Whats the point of getting Manaa in any%? I can't see where it possibly saves time.

Could be a coincidence but since I reduced the graphics quality and disabled shadows I didn't have a texture glitch.
I'm primarily thinking for the Tactics section...not sure how good the lvl 3 are but even the level 2 is pretty strong, and it should be able to cut down the time in that section significantly enough. Might also be useful for the autoscroller on the flying guardian.
During my casual playthrough I used Menos' tier 3 for the autoscroller on the flying guardian, and it makes it much safer--since it's a full screen wipe of the enemies. I'm not sure if it would save any time in any%, but I would wager it's a bit safer to have it than to not have it.
Does it kill the blockades? I had velvets Tier 3 and it cleared teh screen but not the blockades (got me killed waiting for the recharge a couple times XD)

hmm, I think if its possible to use maana to upgrade Kuro's special, the final fight would be easier. It was only possible for me by using the 2 potions you can carry.
Hi
Can confirm that levelups are set values (though we've probably all realized this for ourselves by now)

Just got through the anomoly and can't wait to finish so I can join in the late-routing goodness and maybe do a run or two in a couple weeks. (This game is much longer than anything i've run)

Are there any spots in the anomoly where velvet's level 2 could possible save some time (3d/2d switches at angles?) I'll probably test this myself later.

One thing I want to test it whether your attack damage matters for the pirate's lair/fire shard (since you are unarmed) I don't think it does. It wouldn't change routing any, but it would play the same at any level if there's fixed-damage attacks.

unfortunately velvet doesn't trigger the 3d/2d. That said, there are some decent skips in both of the 3d/2d corners of the anomaly. I can try to make tutorial videos if you want, but they aren't too technical.

As far as pirate's lair, I'm not quite there yet XD.

EDIT: sigh, screw doing that much bejeweled, can you pm me the proper version when you get the chance Penta?
So, I'm done with my casual playthrough of the game, so I'll start looking for more ways out of bounds and maybe other possible glitches now.
Here's one for starters:

The tile right underneath the right wall is not solid. Interestingly enough there's some space underneath the actual exit teleport, so you can go around it to the other side... Unfortunately, since I'm always running on the most recent version, everything's walled off and you can't actually get back inbounds or at least I haven't found a way to do so yet. So maybe, if someone has an earlier build of the game, they could check it out (not that it'd be necessary, since you can skip this entire part in earlier builds, but maybe it'd somehow provide some other helpful information)
Considering I can't really do much more in the Viking Tunnel (and I'm starting to get sick of that place), I'll probably start looking around in some other areas of the game soon.
here are the files of the earlier version https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=4746474E5F2529E6!402&authkey=!AF1NVQdRXp0_Cho&ithint=folder%2cdat

Where is this place DeflecStar?

It's the beginning of the Viking Tunnel if you enter it from the village. Would be useful for avoiding enemies if you could get back in bounds later, not much more.
I checked the tunnel out and it doesn't look like it's possible to get back in bounds. I checked it on 1.0.8906 (which I believe is release version) and on 1.0.8932.

Thank you Oly and Penta <3.

I've been having quite a bit of fun with the Anomaly in general...a few skips and tricks. Made a couple videos to showcase them.

The crystal 3d/2d sections:

And the Dark Kuro Fight:

EDIT: Thank you Oly, Damn technology making things too easy ;).

EDIT2: Oh, and a note on the Top left crystal section, you can actually do a jump on top of that crystal platform on the right after you use fina if you do it right, its a fairly precise jump though.
Just link the youtube video without the /embed/ part, it will embed it for you.
Where exactly is Menos's summon? I can't for the life of me find it :\.

Should just be able to walk onto the space and it will teleport you. You maaay have to go to that place during a different time and talk to people (I can't recall exactly, but I remember at some point in the game someone said they'd build a shrine to Lord Menos or something).

EDIT: I think you go there during the present after you've gotten the Fragment of Earth, then they say they'll make a temple/whatever for Menos, then in the future you go back and it's there.
Ah ok, so not useful then, since I want him lvl 3 FOR the fragment of Earth part ;).

I'm starting to think we only need to go as far as lvl 2 for Fina or Velvet, the level 3 gives a nice diamond attack, but its no stronger than the lvl 2 really. I'll probably just pick up the maana from the windy valley climb and figure out if i want fina or velvet upgraded, but it'll probably be fina.

Basically done with my initial routing then, will do an attempt or two next week probably.

I think I've hit a point where I can't progress any further. When I try to speak to Dalkin in the present, he does nothing to help me advance the story so I can get Dalkin in the past to move through Demonia. I think I broke the game when I bought the house early and spoke to Dalkin before I had triggered the events in Demonia?

I'm a doofus. I've had the imperial medal for so long I forgot it was in my inventory.

Another little video to skip a couple fights in Giros lab, as I guess its not as easy to see as I found it to be...

EDIT: Another small optimization I found is that you can hit one of the switches in Grizzly hills if you shoot fina up right after hitting the first switch, saves a few seconds having to deal with spiders and other stuff to hit it in the proper spot.
Hi
Regarding routing the Magi key pieces, from the disaster on.

1: I need to test if you can pick up the broken airship from the pyramid immediately after the disaster, f you have to talk to Cid in the present first. If you can, get it before even getting magus back. Anyway, get magus, do pirate roberts and the pirate base first, you don't need and in fact can't use airship for this (have to sail in).

2: you're already in the present, so give Cid that broken ship, (assuming you can get it early, otherwise you have to loop around through time again) then jump to the future for going to the magi era, do the anomoly and get the airship.

3: You are in the future, so go do frozen isle and the wikings, since that requires no extra stuff to complete. This seems like a good time to but dalkin's house in the future, too

4: Go to the past. Talk to dalkin (test: can you get the medal from the present before this? if so, leave this for all at once) Then, go to the sylphs. Learn about Fina's heritage and go visit her grandfather. Go to the present, meet the sylph, go to town and get dalkin's badge, go back and complete sylph forest.

5: warp twice back to the past and re-conquer demonia.

-------

Is there anything to change around in these to be more efficient?

1: You have to talk to cid in the present first, but you can talk to him on the way to Giros lab, which is where I am doing it currently.
2: From there, I also stop in Genova to buy your house. I don't stop in past era to do the pirate base, I instead hop straight to present to both give cid the ship and stop by Genova for Dalkins medallion.
3: Then, go back to the future, go to Magi era, do the anomaly, then stop in the grove before heading back to the future.
4: After exiting magi era, I do the Wikings "Real quick" (screw bejewled)
5: After Wikings, I go to the past, get the tinder profile, go trigger the slyph tear to appear, then go get the flag and teleport to the present.
6: Once back in the present, you can go do the beat em up, go get the slyph tear on the way to Demonia and then magilith back to the past at Demonia
7: Finally, Do the Tactics stuff, go do the forest, then finsh the game.

This is the order that I found to be most efficient. There is probably improvements but unless I missed something obvious thats what I'll be doing.

Is john snow fight very random?

I couldn't manage to beat him with ease. There were matches in which I couldn't even do a move before he took me down to less than 10 HP.

In the mines after doing the OoB glitch and entering the fight, if you die and then go back to the fight you get the super bomb and have no risk to get softlocked. I found the fight really hard to do with single bombs.

E: maybe the super bombs are only given if you pass from the first phase and then die, I'm not sure, needs testing.
