I would love to have Greenalink and Dxtr commentate Super Mario Bros. 2! Greenalink knows the differences between the versions of the game (NES, SNES, GBA) and Dxtr know the strats so with them we get the full picture! Smiley

Any idea when updates on accommodation might be posted? Just wondering because myself and some friends have been thinking about what we'll be doing in that regard and when we'll be able to sort it out.

Okay, I'm going to give you an unofficial update on accommodation.
(1) The mass housing is secured. Price will be determined depending on the number of sleepers. Expect a flat rate* price.
(2) The hotel deal is secured. Rooms are doubles only and will cost 260 SEK per night. Reservation code will be given soon.
(3) Any and all remaining details will follow in a sign-up post which will come ve~ry soon.

*i.e. one price no matter how many nights you stay.

The sign-up post for #ESA2014 will be published Saturday the 29th. The post will include:
- Sign-up form
- Pricing
- Mass housing information
- Hotel reservation code
- A detailed budget

Followed by a round-table, broadcasted on the Ludendi channel Sunday the 30th, 1 PM CET.
We will go into detail about the price for the event, what venues we will be using, brief walk-though of the streaming setup. Our goal is to provide attendees with as much transparency as possible. The round table is estimated to be around 30 minutes, ending with a Q&A.

The game I run, Silent Hill 2, has had a lot of changes since I submitted it ~2 moths ago (e.g. time, new strats, etc) . Should I update the post I originally made or create a new one in the game submissions thread? This is just for information for the schedule team. Thanks.

Anyone offering lifts from Arlanda in Stockholm? 4 of us will be arriving at 9:50 on Friday 25th and any offers for lifts after this time would be great as the trains seem quite expensive but I'll keep an eye on them to see if the price goes down at all.

Remember that the distance is some 350 km (just under 220 miles).

I'm still confused why so many choose to go to arlanda instead of gothenburg airport.
May I ask why that is since gothenburg is a lot closer.. Smiley

There's far more planes going to and leaving Arlanda, so it would be easier to find tickets. When I flew to AGDQ, I had at first tried to go from Landvetter, but I didn't find any good and not terribly expensive trips from there, so I flew from Arlanda even though I live in Gothenburg.

That is so sad that it's made like that.. would have been so much easier for people from outside sweden if they could go to Gotheburg instead.

Same here in Austria, there is no direct flight to Gothenburg, so we either take the flight from Vienna to Stockholm (Arlanda) or we gonna take the plane in Munich to Gothenburg.

Hi, I was supposed to attend ESA this year, I signed-up and two of my games got accepted (Rayman Legends and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze).

Due to unfortunate recent events, both family and work related, I'm not going to be able to join you. I'm very sorry to announce that this late, I was really excited about the idea to run with you, meet all the runners, and be part of this amazing event. Sadly there is no way I find the time to practice my games, nor assure that I'll be able to stay in Sweden during ESA. It's really tough for me, and I hope it's not too much of an inconvenience for you, I know you have a ton of work to do, and don't need stupid runners to withdraw from the event that late.

Sorry to withdraw that late, that is quite unexpected for me too. But that's life, I hope to come again next year !
My submited games are Resident Evil 4, Serious Sam TFE and Beatmania IIDX.
Anyway, have a good time and keep up this great work !

I won't be able to do ESA this year, once again. Sorry if I waited the very last moment of discounted sign-up's deadline to announce it, but I really expected to try and make it this year, so I hoped until the last moment.

There was 2 reasons for it : I already said 'no' last year so I wanted to redeem myself this year. And I'm afraid this year was my last chance to do ESA one day, so I wanted to make it at least once, but it won't be possible. Well, nothing is impossible, so maybe the situation will change for next years, but I'm not sure of it at his moment.

I was supposed to play FFVII Single Segment and Super Mario Kart (about SMK, Karel should make it alone as last year though).

Sorry for the inconvenience, and have a good time !

Schedule has been heavily delayed due to the massive amounts of late drop-outs.

I would not except the initial draft to be ready this month. But likely in early June.
