Just a little question,

if you want to go to ESA and show a run of a game, do you have to fill in something or do you just say I want to be there? Tongue

Once the game suggestion topic is up, you can offer your run for ESA. Edenal will decide if your run can be done at the event then. If you just want to visit the event, it is sufficient to register yourself for it.

This is a lie. While Edenal might be the closest equivalent to the Miktator, there are more people involved in the whole thing. In fact, there will be a whole group of people—whose names shall not be disclosed here, so that their bank accounts don't explode Kappa—in charge of game selection.

We are not from Sweden, but we will also travel from Stockholm to Skövde by train. I think someone should open a new thread just for the traveling stuff. Smiley

Travel threads usually open up a few months before the event, complete with tips for foreigners regarding trains, alternative commodation, food and everything.

Must be a fun trip, from Portugal to Sweden. I might just register to run something for ESA. Better start saving up that money for travel costs Cheesy

If I go, I'll probably opt in for mass housing. How much would you pay for it compared to the hotel rooms?

Game selection and schedule making are tasks I'm not involved in at all. There are others far more qualified to handle that.

We don't yet have the exact numbers for mass housing. But I'd be very surprised if it exceeds 50€ for the entire week. No promises though!

From what I've read in the planning threads: Yes, the mass housing/event attendance/whatever fee will include the 'traditional' marathon breakfast. I believe LotBlind is the person in charge. It will be available at Nyeport.

This is unaffected by offers the hotel offers. The hotel will offer a breakfast for those who sleep at the hotel and only those.

I am still relatively new to this but happy to see a swedish event! I am definately interested in going.

Training my speedruns for Nazo no Murasame Jou for Famicom as crazy atm, haha, by the summer I should be in a good spot. Would be fun.

I'm actually checking if I can go to ESA this year and it would be my 1st participation in a marathon. But the chances are quite low (depend on how much money do I need for the flight/hotel and of course having support from family for helping me to go at Sweden.

you dont need hotel though, you can just go for the mass housing

I've actually used that vid as a base for my route but also found quite a few spots where you can save time, so as soon as I get my recording equipment I should be able to start streaming. :3

The "Game Suggestion" thread will be posted during the upcoming week. There's a planing meeting being held tonight to figure out a few specifics.

As for volunteering to help out, there will be a thread about that too in the future. Helping out is a great way to get to know others at the event! Wink
