3. Ocarina of Time - No WW/All Medallions
Estimate: 1:00:00/1:20:00
PB: 56:39/1:16:34
Console: Wii VC
These are pretty similar categories, so either would be doable. They are more for exhibiting what can be done for people who may not have seen it before. As there are very few hard tricks in either run, the times are very consistently achieved hence the estimates I have posted being so close to my pb(s).

Quote from Insomnia:
1. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time - Any% No RBA/WW
Estimate 2:10:00
PB:1:42:21
Console: Wii Virtual Console
This is an interesting category, it was the old any% before wrong warps and reverse bottle adventure were found, and therefore aims for fastest completion in a single sitting without the use of Reverse bottle adventure or wrong warping, so shadow and spirit temple are required. There are no other restrictions.
I've recently just picked up speedrunning and would therefore be able to lower my estimate and PB at a later date.

I would gladly race Batch or Insomnia in either of their submitted categories if they wanted to:

2. Ocarina of Time - No WW (Race with Batch)
Estimate: 1:00:00
PB: 56:50 (Fastest N64 time)
Console: N64/Wii VC
Like batch said, showcases some of the more unusual tricks of oot that is not used in the big main categories, not super difficult runs, but the few tricks in them are impressive, movement is the most crucial thing here probably. Would also be awesome to get revenge from last years bonus stream.

PB vid: http://www.twitch.tv/slask2prask/c/3135279

3. Ocarina of Time - All Medallions (Race with Batch)
Estimate: 1:20:00
PB: NA
Console: N64/Wii VC
This is basically no ww but you have to get all the medallions & stones before you beat the game, which you do in a different way, and it showcases a different kind of wrong warp not seen in most other categories.

4. Ocarina of Time - NO RBA/WW (Race with Insomnia)
Estimate: 2:10:00
PB: 1:40:33
Console: N64/Wii VC
Not my favourite category, but a very common category to race and it showcases alot of basic stuff and also some more pro stuff if you aim for a lower time.

PB vid: http://www.twitch.tv/slask2prask/c/3500692

5. Ocarina of Time - Medalions Stones Trials
Estimate: 2:45:00
PB: NA
Console: N64/Wii VC
I did acually never plan to run this category, but it's a really good category to show off at ESA. It's not as long as 100% and not as short as no rba/no ww. It shows off every dungeons and ganons castle and really shows how broken the game is.
1. Super Mario World 96 Exit(100%)
Estimate: 1:35:00
PB: 1:28:21 (WR: 1:23:52 by Kakusho)
Console: SNES
Link: http://www.twitch.tv/se7endeadlysins/c/3638040 This is not my PB but very close, i chose this run because i changed my controller configurations to simulate a SNES Controller 3 days ago(it was way easier before).
I am definetly going to improve this time before ESA.

I am willing to race this or pass this to someone else if someone better comes along ofc.

Estimate: 1 hour and 30 min

Personal best:
2 hours and 28 min. [In game: 1:57] set 05/02/2014
1 hour 58 min [In game: 1:32] set 10/02/2014

Platform: PC

Link: Not my video,  but here is a  few links to the SDA run so you can get an impression what the run is like :
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekn-mnTBnW0
www.youtube.com/watch?v=PblS8u_kxvU

Silent Hill 2 is  regarded as one of the best horror games ever , even 13 years after it's initial release . The speedrun has never been done before at any event so it would be something new and unique to the viewers. Lots of donation incentives as the game has 6+ endings. I haven't gotten a PB yet but I am confident I can get a good time on this run as I have a lot of free time from the end of this month onwards to grind the game out.

The game does have one or two bits of downtime (such as the start, where there is lengthy walking section) but these are mostly to build tension / fear (I can commentate over these parts btw; like describing what the game's story is about or the history of the speedrun, etc.)  Overall the game is really well paced and something new and interesting is just around the corner most of the time.

1. Cookie Clicker - Neverclick
Estimate: 00:30:00
Personal best: 25:54
Console: PC
Cookie Clicker is a webgame in which one accumulates cookies by clicking them. The goal of Neverclick is to produce 1,000,000 cookies in as little time as possible while actually clicking cookies only 15 times. I know this is arguably not the most archetypical speedgame but people react quite positively surprised whenever I do this and when they learn people do speedrun Cookie Clicker.

If someone else offers this, we could make a race out of this.

2. Final Fantasy VII - YW+ (NewGame+ with Yuffie Warping)
Estimate: 02:50:00
Personal best: 02:26:09
Console: PC
Having an estimate of less than 3 hours for any PlayStation era Final Fantasy game should be quite a surprise. Basically, this appears to be an ordinary run for about 1:50hrs, at which point it turns into the ultimate glitchfest, including wrong cutscenes, beating a superboss extremely underleveled, stat-maxing in a matter of minutes and averting Aerith’s death. The estimate takes into account getting the two optional characters, Vincent and Yuffie, and naming all characters according to viewer’s choice.

Maybe not your typical game to speedrun since there's no clear goal for any%, and because it's a sports game, but It's definitely possible to do fast. I think I'm the only one who does it. Basically the goal of the run is to go through each event as fast as possible while still getting the gold medal in the end. I do all golds because it provides a challenge, unlike just getting any medal would. My best time can be trimmed down by using monster tricks, which I was not familiar with when I got my PB, but which I am working on mastering it now. I'm also working on really getting the race tracks in the end down, along with one or two wormholes which are kind of like wrong warps. The provided video is not really a great indicator of what a run would look like.  Overall my run can be trimmed down by 10 or so minutes, provided that everything goes correctly. The run ends after crossing the finish line on the event called 'All peak jam'. It's a game I've loved playing ever since it came out back in 2003, and I'm sure a run of it can be enjoyed by a lot of people.

Crash Bandicoot clone at it's best (or worst?). You venture through 3D and 2D platformer stages and your goal is to save Daisy from the hands of the evil Merlock. My time of this game is pretty much optimized, though I am afaik the only one who runs this game. Game has a little RNG, but nothing too serious. If there would be a Disney block, this would be a perfect choice for it.

2. 3D Dot Game Heroes - Any% NG+

Console: PS3
Link to current PB: http://www.twitch.tv/arzga/c/3657040 (PB done in my Finnish casual-channel.)

An excellent homage to the old-school Zelda-games. You play as a descendant of a legendary hero and your mission is to save the kingdom of Dotnia. The run features temples played fast, oversized swords and a couple of glitched skips. NG+ is used to make the run faster and more secure. The run also includes the possibility of some fun donation incentives, such as naming the Hero and choosing the playable character (who wouldn't like to save Dotnia as a heroic dog?) I am still learning this run, but I am quite certain that sub 3 is possible by date of ESA. The estimate might also be a bit too high, but you can't play too safe, can you?

I think 3 player co-op would be the fastest and 4 player co-op the slowest but it's hard to tell as co-op is local only. Estimate should be generous but might not be because co-op.

3. Titan Quest - Any% co-op with Ariwa
Estimate: 2:00:00
Personal best: 1:47
Platform: PC
First Diablo-like RPG in a marathon? We would rather not include the expansion Immortal Throne in a marathon run as it adds a fourth act that's about 45 minutes long and we don't think it's interesting enough to watch. However, the expansion also adds a character class that we normally use in runs as well as game breaking glitches that are required for a fast speedrun. We believe that the most viewer friendly solution would be to do the run with the expansion but stop after act 3 as act 4 is pretty much just more the same for 45 minutes. Whoever is picking the games, contact me on irc about this.

4. Hitman Blood Money - PRO/SA

Got a good response at AGDQ and I plan on re-routing the game for ESA to keep things fresh. Thanks to the level design very different routes can be almost equally fast. Low priority for me as it's a repeat from AGDQ.

Note: since idk exactly if emulator is allowed, i'm assuming it is. I will bring a converter and required files on USB stick with me, so i'd just need an computer to use cause i can't really bring my own. Also if any other person will race any of these categorys, i'd be up for that. also i apologize for not having PB video's.

Good question.

We want to wait until most suggestions are in until we post cuts. If we would cut games straight away we would loose some of the opportunity to make great blocks.

We've also adjusted the dates quite a bit to accommodate for some changes our planing.

William Shatner's TekWar - Any%
Estimate: 00:23:00
Personal best: 18:15 (WR)
Console: MS-DOS
A open world FPS based on the famous build engine, follows a story written by William Shatner himself. This is a pretty bad game but it will be filled with pretty much constant action and fast movement. Has ingame cinematics also in the non-rip release (completely optional) Where you can watch William himself explaining the mission briefing. Briefings/De-briefings could be a donation incentive and might take the run to 35min with all of them. Overall the game has a certain charm to it despite looking downright awful, being incredibly broken and occasionally having ice-friction. Will be played with keyboard only. The time will go down by ~30s at most with current strategies.

Shadow warrior 2013 is a very fast movement kinda linear game with a lot of broken levels (skips, OOB and a lot of precise tricks), currently still being broken by me and a few other guys. We find new skips every week so the estimate may be way lower the closer we get to ESA. Donation incentive's could be DLC swords skins.

I have plans to learn and run this game. I'm waiting for it to arrive this week and aim to start when I can. This is one of my favourite games ever and I always played it as a kid. I've been thinking of running it for a while now and have recently been researching and watching runs and the game seems pretty fun to run as it has a bunch of funky glitches. There isn't any runners in Europe I think and there is only 2 runners AFAIK (Surreal and Brotatoe).

Recently picked up this game with Joshimuz and we are attempting co-op runs which is quite fun to do and funny to watch. We have done a few runs so far and our best time is 30:51 which you can watch in the link above. I control the hand via an Xbox 360 controller while Joshimuz controls the legs via mouse and keyboard. Although the game has only just been released recently there have been a few people trying to run it and many tricks/skips have been found already so there is definitely improvements to be made.

(Since there is quite a bit of interest in Octodad there may be other people interested in running so maybe there could be co-op races/competitions?)

The Dishonored speedrun has a few wall clips and a couple of cool out of bounds skips. The "blinking" mechanic (teleporting) is really precise and is fast paced and exciting to watch. The game is really fast paced so it can be difficult to do full commentary whilst playing, but in the long cut scenes i can explain what i have done and doing.
