We don't have to wait, it's just that without the update TFC is going to be a wee bit of a pain to install client-side, and, well, the present version lacks a few features that should be in the updated version, obviously. Although the change log is being updated, so it shouldn't be that far off. I say we dick around in Divine NotRPG, see what interesting things there are to see. And, of course, to hear people laugh at the expense of whoever just got stomped by a crystal pigsaur. I do wonder how things will look after going back to what is basically vanilla. No ore doubling, no auto-crafting systems and storage, no golems, not even an iron furnace. Should be fun.

EDIT: Alternatively, we can refresh the map and play with Ultimate, only with pretty much every mod set to full-blown Gregtech mode. As hilarious as that would be even I'm not that big a masochist, although if Dave wants to try and breed some bees on Hardcore mode rather than Normal...FYI I don't know what the difference is, but I got 5 IC saying the only difference is a few more backstage dice being a bit more loaded.

Well you guys need to pick something and I'll put it on the server.
From what you posted earlier it seems like DivineRPG is a rather mediocre mod so I'm not sure if people want to actually play it.
If you guys wanna take a break until TFC is out that's fine by me as well.
I'd just put the server on ice until the TFC update.

The biggest issue with Divine RPG is that pretty much everything revolves around combat, and if there's one thing that RPGs are not supposed to be made of entirely, and one thing that Minecraft is not at all famous for, it's combat. Also got an update on TFC delays from the man himself, looks like it's still a mess, thanks to the updated MC stuff. It's being worked on, at least, but it'll be a while before the update is out of beta.

I personally don't care whether it's Divine RPG or the old TFC version, really. I can write up a short install guide for the old version as well, it'll just take some effort. All that's needed is for someone else to voice an opinion and see where that takes things. I haven't heard from anyone else from the server for, what, a week or so now.
.
Still here. Not bothered about what we play next. ;p

Hm...I think the best idea would be to play Divine NotRPG. Though it may be, how you say, broken, TFC will take some effort to install, and I think the next update might change world generation a bit, so it's probably best to wait on that. Besides, not like Ultimate was an expert example of balance.

Seeing that, I say we mess around in Divine NotRPG with Player API, Smartmoving and Enderstorage added to the pack. All 3 should be able to be added to the pack without any problems, at least that's what I managed.

Good news, everyone: TFC has been updated to build 76, which is updated to MC v1.5.1. The server can be updated to run TFC, and I recommend that both Smartmoving and Rei's Minimap be added as well to the server. PlayerAPI doesn't have to be added for Smartmoving's sake, since TFC itself needs that to run. I don't know of any other mods that can be added, but if anyone has ideas, let's hear them.

If no one does, let the stone age begin. This will be a painful transition from Ultimate's "5 different infinite everything machines".

I'm not really able to pay for the server this month since I have to buy a bunch of books for university courses.
TFC will have to wait until May which is probably not a bad thing considering its still getting hotfixes on an almost daily basis.
.
That's fine by me. Let me know when you're renewing it so I can send up some moneys to help out again.

Yeah, it got like 10 hotfixes in under a week. I assumed the transition would be ugly but yikes. It's being worked on, maybe by May it'll be added to the FTB launcher. If not, since it's updated with vanilla it shouldn't be hard at all to install.

EDIT: Perhaps slightly off-topic, but it's a good thing the server ended when it did, because I just managed to put together a new reactor design that I am most certainly going to test and later probably build. I call it The Widowmaker. For reference, the explosion power of the Mark I Uranium reactor that went boom was about 40. Filled with quad plutonium this thing will manage an explosion power of just under 755, and it has a buffer timer of about 6 seconds before the reactor explodes. You can also replace the reactor heat-containment plating with an iridium reflector for just a little more EU/t, at the cost of 2 seconds of buffer. I'm going to see how well this thing explodes.
