Hmm... so does the review build seem to have all the other issues which were reportedly fixed for 1.0.1?

Also you can literally just look for some old torrent in case any are still alive, like this one is dated prior to any patches I think: https://www.torrentsdegamers2.com/juegos/ether-one-pc-torrent/

I've found this from the GOG Team:

published just a few days after initial release.

"We have uploaded a new installer for Ether One that has the words "Review Build" removed from the main menu screen. Keep in mind that you don't have to download the new installer as it's basically the same as the previous one except for the aforementioned "Review Build" removal."

https://www.gog.com/forum/ether_one_redux/ether_one_has_received_a_slight_update

The review build is the launch shipping build.

EDIT: most torrents are either dead or on (semi-)private trackers I don't have access to.

EDIT: My review build has this issue that was fixed in v1.0.1 "Some settings that didn't save upon closing of the game, including gamma, are now fixed."

EDIT: I'm writing my commentary for the submission. It's harder than expected
Okay, I think we've established now that the copy is or basically is 1.0.0 and in any case there might not be the actual 1.0.0 available, so feel free to start seeding that version (or a package of whatever files are actually different from the GOG or Steam copy) yourself. We unfortunately can't host those as I'm sure you understand.

If you want to incorporate the new tricks in the run, just go to the submission page and change the state to "cancelled". I don't actually know if that's how it works since I've never tried submitting a run myself yet. Alternatively you can just tell ktwo (the SDAVerification account) to hold off the verification until you've gotten a new run. We won't hold it against this submission though if you don't, and you can always submit an improvement later.

Leave any other questions here or if it's about the submission, in the private thread that you've been invited to.

Unsure of what you actually mean by that. I have the files, I've taken these files from a still active torrent. I was not the original source.

Hmm.. might as well just submit the 1.0.0 run. It has some extra cool stuff. Most of the run is identical expect for two new tricks in the uneventful last part of the run.

I'll cancel the v1.0.3 submission then and get a perfect v.1.0.0 run going.
Noticed a new patch is up for GOG, but was all that stuff already in the Steam release (sounds like)?

Yup, I knew about and briefly tested the 1.05 Steam version when it first came out. I didn't know about the 1.06 build though.
I ran my original Redux Any% route on the new patch and didn't notice anything different. I know some stuff was patched, that the 100% category could benefit from but I'd need to delve deeper in the 1.06 to find new stuff. I doubt I will, but who knows.
