I'm still not satisfied with this run because I know I can do it better.

What if you go down to the rainbow star on Junk Yard and avoid the spikes? Is it faster or slower?

I only get the fast skyscraper strat maybe once every 15 or so runs that actually make it that far.

The rainbow star route is slower than the route I used in my run, but it is faster than the standard route.

Record is 9:18 now. Not going to upload because it is a shitty run.

9:08 is realistic, 9:07 maybe if you are super optimistic.

Same as MirrorsMind, i really enjoyed both ESJ game and trying to speedrun them, i'm actually working on groove city with a PB at 10:37, but the new train change (i bought the gamme yesterday, didnt had enough money before) are quite annoying , i think i can reach a sub 10 with less error and a succesfull skyscraper strat.

Ohh, my english is kinda bad i know, i'm working on it ; )

Here's the VOD for my 9:13. I wasn't going to upload it, but I'm having computer issues now so I can't record any runs and don't know when I will be able to get a 9:09 or better.

Pl4y3r: I have 100 hours recorded in ESJ original, and I still can't pull off a decent run. Don't get disheartened. It always takes time, and this game is really good at frustrating you.

Just a question, are you using the frame limitation to 60FPS ? Because i've a too powerful so when I'm in level 6 (Getting Harder) it's very hard to complete the part with the 2 small platforms with the 2 monsters which run tooooooooooooo fast T_T I'm missing everytime here (and in the Plane level ..)

I personally never use the frame limiter, I only get 30FPS when recording as it is. :x

Going to push for 9:07 since I believe it is now somewhat feasible. Hopefully it won't take me another 1,400 attempts to get it.

Did anyone thought about speedrunning the new Hot Sticky Mess DLC? I already did some grinding, but everytime "A Heartfelt Mess" kills my runs. I haven't got a strategy yet, maybe someone of you could help me.

I considered it for a while, but there's 2 levels that unfortunately lag uncontrollably for me on my current PC and are near unplayable. I think I might have the current IL WR for that stage (haven't played for some time now) so I will take a look and see if I can find anything.

I also have an IL WR. I'm under the top 10 at most of the ILs.

I also have a complete run, but I'm disappointed from my time, I actually got "A Heartful Mess" on first try, but yeah, never happened again. This level is the only reason, why I stopped running it. It was so frustrating.
I hope you can find something, I'll really appreciate it.

Here is my consistent strategy for A Heartfelt Mess:

The idea is not to miss any of the missiles when you stomp, which is entirely possible and actually not that difficult. I just have a bit of rust. Tongue

Thanks, I'll try that strategy, I hope I can push my PB sub-20, which isn't acually that hard, but as I said, this level is my weakness.
The only part where I struggle is when the laser is in that circle phase.

Nice run, and congrats ^^ Currently I don't really speedrun at all, I don't really know why, but it's just as it is.

But when I was running this game (never uploaded a run, because the current time is 22:04, not satisfied at all), two levels screwed me again and again, so I took a break from it. My Sum of Best is actual 17:32, so yeah... Maybe at some time, I'll run it again.

The gains are real

It's too early to really say for sure, but I think a mid-low 14 minute run would be about as good as this game will get. I'm thinking 14:20-ish.
