When I click on Dzip, the window opens for a split second then closes, I can't get the program to work, anyone know what's wrong with it?

sounds like you got the command line version. be sure to download the gui version of dzip, and there should be joy.

Thanks, I'm having trouble with the gui Dzip, AVG keeps telling me that a virus has been detected. Win32/Zmist. I sent Radix an email about it.
sda loyalist
This was mentioned on the General board. Radix said it was a false positive, as the current version was compiled a long time ago.

Be warned that Radix doesn't reply to anything that's not a post on the forum.

That's odd because he sent me back an email asking if I used the 64-bit version of windows. Maybe he only replies to things about Dzip, because it says to send any questions to him at the Dzip webpage.

I thought at first that it was a false positive, but seeing as how it still didn't work, I thought something was up. I guess something else must be wrong.

Every time I try to open it a window pops up: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
I'm addicted to games
Is that opening the installer, or the program once it's installed?

I guess it's the opening installer, it's the thing that downloads as soon as you right click/Save Link on the "US" link. I double click Dzip29 on my desktop, then the message comes up.
just downloaded and installed fine on my xp pro machine (32-bit os). need to check to make sure you don't have an executable whitelist or some other security feature turned on that is not allowing you to open the file.
