I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
Supposedly someone has discovered a glitch in the XBOX 360 port of Duke Nukem Forever that might merit further investigation.  The chapter is: The Mighty Foot, 2nd part.

"From where you start look right, you'll see that the rocky wall is kinda curved so I boosted along side it trying to jump. But instead i found out you can back-up through the wall if you land on the ledge. Once through the wall I fell outside the map.  Since I could still drive around I did some exploring and came across a weird template with 'invisible collision hull' on it. Obviously I couldn't get any further but when I moved to the right from it I spawned past the bridge jumping section, skipping it all. Thought it would be worth mentioning."

Thoughts? Any potential speedrunners?

Hello, I am speed running Duke Nukem Forever (PC) and I would love to help get a DNF run on SDA. Even if it is not one of my own. To help, I am going to list every skip, trick, and route tip that I know. I'll list everything a chapter at a time and provide a video link that shows the strat in action when I can. I've been running with a two weapon limit on the easiest difficulty, so some of these tips only apply to that category.

Duke Lives
When the battle with the Cycloid begins, back away from the Cycloid and stand close to the 10 yard line along the left sideline. Two devastators will be dropped between the 10 and 15 yard lines. If you conserve your ammo, you won't need to wait for another ammo drop.

Damn! It's Late
While in the elevator, if you jump and grab the ladder while it is unfolding, you can grab the ladder sooner than normal. This saves about a second, so don't fret if you miss it.

The Duke Cave
After grabbing Duke's golden gun, use steroids to quickly kill all of the enemies in the next hallway.

Mothership Battle
Don't concentrate all of your fire on the mothership. Destroying the approaching ships will speed up the battle.

The Lady Killer
I don't have anything to say about this part. Just try to complete it without flipping the RC Car.

The Lady Killer: Part 2
At some points in the game, you can kill enemies before they jump out of their drop ship. Doing this saves time, especial during The Lady Killer and Vegas in Ruin. In The Lady Killer you can see that killing some enemies sooner will cause other enemies to teleport into battle earlier.

The Lady Killer: Part 3
Raise the arm of Duke's statue as high as possible. No other adjustments are necessary. If you raise the arm fast enough, you can jump onto the model skyscraper before it rises. Once you're on the balcony, sprint to the door and open it before the pig cop spawns. If you manage to open the door before the pig cop kicks it open, the pig will not spawn.
(Note: In this clip, I did not reach the door before the pig cop because the checkpoint changed which way I was facing. I'll talk about checkpoint trolling later.)

Well placed trap mines can help kill bosses much faster. Most boss battles give you enough time to set traps before the battle begins. The mini boss battle at the end of The Lady Killer: Part 3 is a good example of using traps to kill bosses faster.

Vegas in Ruin
After Jenkins dies on the bridge, sprint past all of the enemies until you reach the pit where the boss battle begins. Once you reach the checkpoint in the pit, the enemies you ignored should disappear. Using steroids can help you sprint to the pit.

Firing RPGs at the bottom of the drop ships will quickly kill most of the incoming enemies before they leave the drop ship. You can also place trap mines to kill the enemies that don't spawn from drop ships.

The Duke Dome
You can skip the battle in the trailer by dropping a red gas tank in front of the locked gate. Use the dropped tank to hop over the gate. This saves at least two minutes.

The Duke Dome: Part 2
Using a grenade will allow you to collect the three blue barrels faster. You can also throw the barrels near the end of the shipping container instead of inside the shipping container. I prefer to throw two inside and leave one outside, but it is possible to solve the puzzle without throwing any of the barrels into the shipping container.

After solving the physics puzzle, you can complete the rest of the level without using any ladders. Careful jumping and a good route is all that is required to skip the ladders. Jump to the right of the crane's arm to skip using the ladder on the crane. After using the wreaking ball, you can jump up the grooves on the crane's arm to skip using the ladder again.

The Hive
Nothing special here yet. Just ignore as many enemies as you can. It is possible to clear a particular battle with three Octabrains faster by placing mines well in advance of the battle. This is a new tactic that I am using, so I don't have a video that shows when or where to place the traps.

Queen Bitch
If you hold the fire button when using the RPG launcher, you will fire RPGs as fast as possible. When firing as fast as possible, you can hit the Alien Queen with five RPGs before she shields herself.
(Note: Although I didn't do it in this run, it is possible to kill the Alien Queen before any Octabrains spawn.)

Duke Nukem's Titty City
Collect the condom and the vibrator while the popcorn is popping.

Crash Course
Skip the turret section in Crash Course by falling onto an invisible ledge and crawling under the debris.  Once you are on the other side of the debris, you need to trigger the next checkpoint and reload the checkpoint to continue.

The Duke Burger
While shrinking, you can sprint towards the bathroom sinks and jump onto the sinks before you finish shrinking. Doing this will allow you to skip climbing the boxes and bench.

The Duke Burger: Part 2
You can climb cups to skip the ladder behind the cash register.

You can use an enemy corpse to skip climbing several boxes. Make sure you don't gib the enemy with the devastator.

You can hop across the electrified water and reach a rag doll without dying. This shaves off about two minutes of play time. Surprisingly, this is possible on all difficulties, and I think it can be done without taking any damage.

The Duke Burger: Part 3
Strangely, enemies don't appear to take any damage before they leave their drop ships during this part of the game. There are lots of explosives on the roof, so I prefer to use the shotgun and explosives here. Also, make sure you get the HoloDuke in this part and save it for later. Finally, stay far away from the air conditioning units. If they explode they can kill you in a single hit.

The final two enemies can be killed very quickly with a shrink ray, shotgun combo.

The Mighty Foot
If you complete the turret section fast enough, the EDF drop ship will land much sooner. I don't have a  recording of the fastest landing yet. It's not difficult, but I did mess it up in my recorded run.

The Mighty Foot: Part 2
To collect the gas can faster, use a wooden post to jump over the fence. When you have the gas can, jump off the bridge to teleport back to the truck. You can use a HoloDuke to distract enemies while you jump over the fence because there is another HoloDuke beside the gas can.

Ghost Town/Highway Battle
It is possible to complete Ghost Town without refueling the monster truck. This skip allows you to collect the gas can in Morning Wood and use it later when you run out of gas in Highway Battle: Part 2. It is a little complicated so I made a commentary video about this skip. Basically, you stack six barrels near the barn to collect the gas can faster. Then you stack three barrels near the saloon to leave town. You do need a HoloDuke to perform the saloon skip.

Dam Top
There is a tricky jump in Dam Top that will save time during the opening, driving section. Sadly, I haven't recorded this jump yet. I will probably edit this post when I find or make a video that shows this jump.
[No Link Yet]

There are lots of supply crates on top of the dam, so I recommend using an RPG launcher to defeat the enemies. One of the early pig cops has an RPG launcher you can steal. Remember to set mine traps for the boss as well.

The Shrunk Machine
You can collect a HoloDuke while the EDF soldier and the maintenance crew are talking. Just make sure you pick up the freeze ray because the dialogue scene will pause until you pick it up.

The Shrunk Machine: Part 2
Turn the valve until the pressure gauge reads 12. Then close the valve.
[No Link Yet]

The Forkstop
You can avoid a trigger that spawns some Octabrains by jumping over a fence.

The Forkstop: Part 2
You can jump onto a pillar to skip using the forklift. You should be able to reach the elevator faster and easier if you use a HoloDuke.

Generator Room
In this chapter, a crane is used to reposition a pair of hanging pipes. Normally, you use the pipe to jump onto a ledge located to the right of the pipes. However, it is possible to jump onto the ledge to the left. Positioning the pipe for the jump to the left is faster, but the jump itself is difficult to land. Jumping to the left will also avoid an enemy spawn trigger.

Keep the devastator you find in the generator room until you reach the boss in Blowin' The Dam. You will have an opportunity to refill the devastator's ammo in The Clarifier: Part 2, but you should refrain from using the devastator after you reach that point.

Underground
Use a grenade to blow the toolbox off of the balcony.
(Note: You only need one grenade. My first two throws were bad throws.)

Underground: Part 2
Nothing special here. There is a highly dangerous swarm of baby Octabrains in the underwater section of this part. I like to use grenades and the devastator to take them out.

The Clarifier
By stacking two barrels on a difficult to reach ledge, you can skip several battles in The Clarifier. I explain this skip in the following video.

The Clarifier: Part 2
Ignore the enemies  in the first room and race to the next checkpoint.
[No Link Yet]

Blowin' The Dam
Just like in The Shrunk Machine, you want to let go of the valves as soon as possible. Duke needs to turn the valves in this chapter three times.

If you kept the devastator from the Generator Room, you can defeat the boss very quickly.
[No Link Yet]

Blowin' The Dam: Part 2
Run beside the left wall and shoot the red barrels. With a little a luck you can ascend the stairs without taking cover in the side passages.

You can jump onto a rock to skip the last ladder in the game. The rock is difficult to land on because of its jagged shape.

The Final Battle
The EDF soldier will drop his shotgun when he dies. Keep an eye on him and grad his shotgun once the Cycloid Emperor stomps on him. Conserve RPG ammo by killing Pig Cops before they fire at you. It is possible to defeat the Cycloid Emperor before the devastator is dropped, but I believe you have to use every weapon as efficiently as possible to kill him that fast. Some RNG may affect how quickly you kill him as well.

Needs Investigation/Wish List
The Mighty Foot: Part 2,  OoB
I can't reproduce the out of bounds glitch FatalPhantasms mentioned. Maybe it only works in console versions, or maybe it was patched out. I can use the truck to get out of bounds on foot, but I can't go anywhere useful on foot without the invincibility cheat.

Ghost Town, Escape the Barn
Once I get the gas can in the barn, I can not escape the barn without loading a checkpoint. If anyone can find a way to exit back through the roof of the barn, that would be very helpful. I doubt it is possible though. Another possibility could be to grab the gas can without entering the barn.

Highway Battle: Part 1, Ride a Drop Ship OoB
I found a video uploaded by Game Front that shows this trick.

Unfortunately, every time I go out of bounds using this trick, I can not drive the truck. Carefully riding on top of the ship and ramping off of it dose save a few seconds, but driving OoB could save a few more seconds.

Checkpoint Trolling
Occasionally, when a checkpoint is saved in Duke Nukem Forever, Duke will look in a random direction. This problem happens more frequently when I am sprinting. Also, the change in direction is more dramatic if I am sprinting. Some times Duke will do a complete 180.

This problem only wastes a few seconds most of the time, but occasionally it can cause you to walk off a ledge. There are a few points in the run where I stop sprinting to avoid dying to checkpoint trolling. Walking or stopping appears to be the only way to lessen checkpoint trolling.
I thougt about this the other day, and even threw in DNF in an attempt to finish it once so I could start planning what would be a good route. Unfortunately after about 2 stages I got sick of the load times on PS3, and decided it wasn't worth the effort. But I'm glad to see someone has put a lot of effort into this, and I know I'd be interested in seeing it. (Mostly just to hear the one-liners, but also to see how fast it can be done.) Best of luck to you, and hopefully more support comes your way.
I believe sub 2:20 is possible. I am getting close. The worst part about running DNF is that the difficult skips don't happen until after the first hour.
Wake up and be awesome
Obviously your single segment run is not up to standards but so far it looks really good. I never knew just how many skips you could find in a modern day shooter like this

Decided to look up glitches on youtube and here is what I found

Not sure if any of these are useful, haven't played this game in years.

Also the beginning of the game should also be included, when Duke is taking a piss and you can draw whatever you want on the whiteboard

The first two glitches aren't helpful, but the third one might be. I think it's a long shot, but it will be fun to try out.
Going out of bounds in the forklift isn't helpful either. You can skip an encounter with three pigs, but killing the pigs is faster than going out of bounds.

You have about ten seconds to draw whatever you want on the whiteboard. This might give you enough time to sign your run if you have a really short name.
I always wanted to run this game to but xbox loading times are OUTRAGEOUS to the point where it's not even a speed run Sad
Konkey Dong
Yeah, running the game on PC is vital, as the 360 and PS3 versions are load heavy. I think the most trouble one can have is barrel stacking in Ghost Town and Hive or other dark places that can be hard to route. I find myself using Duke Vision a lot during Hive, which sucks, but I'm sure once I go through the level a lot it'll be memorization for the most part.
There is a shortcut in The Lady Killer Part 1. Normally, you drive around a water fountain and use a golden statue to jump across a small gap. However, you can skip the statue by boosting across the gap before you drive around the fountain. I took a screenshot to show where to position the car for the boost.
Konkey Dong
Hmm...Might have to try this out. I'm sure it looks more difficult than it actually is.
I have some new information to share. First, I have started the submission process for a run. The approximate run time is 2:10:42; which is almost ten minutes quicker than my previous estimate. I made a handful of small mistakes, so the run might be rejected. I am going to upload the run to YouTube after it is accepted or rejected. Once it is uploaded, I will update the links in my long post.

Second, I have a couple new tricks to add to The Lady Killer: Part 2. The first one is very simple. After the RC car is destroyed, you need to press a button to continue. You can reach the button faster by pushing a pot in front of the button. The pot is a little difficult to get into position because it blocks most of your view while you push it.

The second trick is more difficult and isn't very useful right now. After you raise the gate and grab the shotgun, a battle with assault troopers will begin. The first assault trooper always teleports to the same location, and if you stand in the right spot he will launch Duke into the air.

In order to get in the right spot, look at the carpet in front of the stairs. Position Duke's left foot between the two flowers as shown in the following screenshots.

You want to stand approximately where the gun is pointing.

This is about where Duke's left foot should be.

Once you are standing in the right spot, you can change where you are looking. You will be launched to different locations depending on where you look. If you look towards the hanging vines shown in the screenshot below, you will probably be launched onto a ledge.

While on the ledge, you can use the shotgun to kill the assault troopers before they leave their drop ships.

It is possible to launch Duke out of bounds with this trick, but I haven't been able to accomplish anything useful while out of bounds here. I've only been launched out of bounds once, so I am not sure how to position Duke to get out of bounds consistently.
Wake up and be awesome
Hey DumDumDugan, I'm verifying your run right now and so far it looks good. Just a small question to ask, what do you think is the best possible time? Sub 2 hours? probably a longshot considering how many things can go wrong in this run. Also do you stream your runs per chance, I'd love to watch you break this god awful game
Thanks for verifying. A flawless run might be sub 2 hours if load times are excluded. I occasionally stream at http://twitch.tv/dum_dum_dugan. I probably won't stream again until May. I'll be sure to post here before my next stream.
I forgot to post here before my last Duke Nukem Forever stream. I did do a 100% run since my last post. I won't be doing 100% very often because I don't think it adds anything interesting to the run. I don't know when I can do another live run, but I'm not going to post here every time I stream. I'd obviously forget to post here anyways.

I also got the PS3 version of the game because I wanted to investigate the Mighty Foot OoB. I left my PS3 disconnected from the internet to make sure I was playing the release version. After completing the Mighty Foot, I can say that driving through the rock wall in the PS3 version is really easy. However, I don't know if I could drive through the wall because I was playing the PS3 version or because I was playing the release version. Whether driving through the wall is possible on the original PC version or not is still a mystery, but at least I know it's probably impossible on the current PC version.

My next goal should be to get the original PC version of DNF, but right now I doubt it is possible. I'm going to ask around on other forums. If anyone knows of a way to get the original version of DNF for PC, please share how. I think you can only install DNF through Steam, so that makes getting the original version difficult.
Konkey Dong
Hold up. Are you saying that the PS3 version of the game is possibly faster than the PC version?

If true, could the 360 version 1.0/1.1 be considered just as fast? Or is that reading too in-depth to it at this point?

For RTA, PC would still be the fastest. If load times are ignored the PS3 and 360 versions could be faster, but you would have to be a barrel stacking master. Stacking barrels is way more difficult with a controller. I couldn't even stack three in a single stack, but it has been a very long time since I last played an FPS with a controller.
I have given up on finding version 1. The best thing I found was something called the Duke Nukem Forever downgrader. It seemed to downgrade the game to version 1, but the game crashed every time I played The Duke Cave or entered the truck.

In other news, I found a new checkpoint exploit in The Duke Dome during my Extra Life stream. I highlighted it. http://www.twitch.tv/dum_dum_dugan/c/5388141 Unfortunately, there is a video load point directly in the middle of the highlight.

Opening a gate with a pipe bomb triggers a checkpoint. This exploit skips the dialogue scene with the construction workers and the auto-scrolling scene in the dumpster. About three minutes are saved. Also, I fell that the pipe bomb throw is easier to get while standing on the porta-potty.
