Okay, so I'm working on an Assassin's Creed speedrun, and am planning on using save warping. However, to exit the game in Assassin's Creed, you have to "double quit": first you exit the Animus and then you quit the game. Actually quitting the game takes a significant time because there's a "getting up from the animus"-animation.

My question then is: how should this be timed? Because gameplay stops from the moment you select "Exit Animus", and after that it's just menus. Is there a relevant precedent? I know it isn't a problem in the later AC games because you can quit directly from the menu.

Also, if it happens to be so that it should be timed until actually quitting the game, what's stopping me from just shutting down my Xbox?

1-Up!
When does the actual "save" happen? If the actual save happens when you exit the Animus then you can end your segment as soon as the save is complete.

It's an autosave, and I'm fast enough to exit the memory as soon as it's done saving. So that's when I'll segment.

Thanks for the response.
