Hi, when I run D2dQ, it goes very well, but somewhere in level 23, the player dies and the movie becomes messed up after it.

Am I doing something wrong? Like using a wrong version of the game, etc?

I'm using Doom II v1.9.

And it's not just D2dQ that's giving me problems - the same thing happens with many other Doom demos from Compet-N...

That would happen if you tried to playback the demo with doom2.exe instead of d2dq.exe which was included in the zip file.  Use the batch file that came in the package, d2dq2116.bat, to run the demo correctly.

When the demo's playing, one can switch between camera view and 1st-person view with the P and C keys. I personally prefer the latter in doom.

And btw, to those who're interested in these connected runs of doom, I warmly recommend Doom Done Quicker at http://members.cox.net/dev000null/doom/dqr-1605.zip, as it is way less outdated than d2dq.
