The BaldurManiac
We hurt his feelings so here we will thank him for his hard and underapreciated work.

Thanks DJ!

I know it's not game related.
Thread title:
* ShadowWraith hugs DJGrenola.
100% runs=great to watch
DJGrenola does a variety of fine work for SDA and surely deserves this commending thread.  Personally, as I don't know him, I envision him as some manner of sentient, benign Thesaurus with Internet access and a passion for gaming.
lol. thank you, gentlemen.
seriously, DJGrenola seems like a good guy and sda is lucky to have him.
Complete. Global. Saturation.
Cheer up Emo kid.
Someone with a decent camcorder should record him/herself singing "he's a jolly good fellow", then upload it to youtube.

(I don't have a camcorder myself)

hello there
"I'd like to give thanks to Mike and DJGrenola for their work maintaining the site, Nate for capturing the run [...]"

See, I thanked you. Sad
To so my appreciation for DJ, I wrote him a poem (which I promise is not ripped off from Bad Company)

Don't you know that you are a shooting star
Don't you know
Don't you know
Don't you know that you are a shooting star
And all the world will love you just as long
As long as you are

But seriously DJGrenola, I want to thank you for all the time and effort you put into this site.
when everything's automated with sda 2.0 and other people are running the site i'm hoping he'll write up something about what updating the site used to be like back in the day. i've only done it a few times myself (even when i write the news he still usually does all the rest of the work) but enough to know how insane it is. it's like some kind of anachronistic thing, like we're pretending we're working with typewriters and card catalogs. safe to say no one on the outside has a clue how bad it is.
Yeah, DJGrenola's a pretty righteous and bodacious dude.
Waiting hurts my soul...
Thank you to DJGrenola for all of the updates.  All the moderators really deserve a thank you for keeping the site up in their spare time.  So, thank you all, and thank you to the community for the interest in speedruns, as without that I wouldn't have found this site.  Keep it up! Smiley
Yeah, I said it.
I don't thank anyone in my comments, so I'm never unfairly excluding anyone. Tongue

I must admit, I have a bit of a mancrush on DJGrenola.
DJGrenola is the craziest speed poster on SDA. Performing various tricks he is able to cut down the newsposting interval from like once a week to about twice a week and is still able to keep his average momentum from the last news (= amount of new runs posted).
Yet, his posts don't look sloppy making it a very fine and watchable run. I don't know when the run started, but it feels like an everlasting orgasm glitch Smiley

Thank you DJGrenola.
I have no solution, but i admire the problem.
I always knew DJ worked really really hard! In fact, i was just about to offer my firstborn daughter to him as a gift before he wrote the latest news. But, well, now, i just seems a bit opportunistic, you know.. so, a simple but big THANKS, DJ! has to do it for now. Beware, in a few years, they'll build statues for him. Believe me.
safe to say.

I deeply thank DJGrenola for his most excellent work at SDA! Seriously dudes, his arrival was the best thing that could've happened to this site when Radix got too busy. Keep up the good work!
My feelings on The Demon Rush

Oh no wait, I hate Final Fantasy X.  DJGrenola is a pretty swell guy, and the hardest worker on the SDA staff Smiley
Yoshi's eggs are at my mercy!

You know what I'd like to see from DJGrenola? A speedrun.

With all the advice he offers and work he does around here, there'd be no mistakes.
Just call me the cynicism machine
DJGrenola brings a color, flavor, honor, and every other word that he can't seem to spell correctly to this site.  Also, ranting about how Europe got SPM later than everyone else when they got MS:C before everyone else was totally necessary.

hello there
You know what I'd like to see from DJGrenola? A speedrun.

He has a low% Metroid Prime 2 run on Archive that wasn't accepted due to OOB restrictions.

color, flavor, honor

You have crossed the line, mister.
Im ashamed to admit that i kinda missed the "whodunnit" line in the updates and always went for the content, so i hardly noticed who had updated. Then DJGrenola mentioned it in one of his updates and boy, was my mind blown. Youre a freaking machine, and one of the most important things for this page is a constant flow of updates (not all visitors can check each vipthread in the forums). I remember some time ago when there were no updates for weeks and i almost thought it was inactive so i hardly visited anymore. I guess im not alone in that, so yeah, thanks for saving that site for me Smiley You rock!

Also: voting for Special Title "Speed-Poster #1" as well Cheesy

We all know you don't do anything besides sit around and play shitty rpg's and adventure games all day mike.
Yep yep yep!
Not much to say that hasn't been said, except that I also highly appreciate DJGrenola and everything he does for the site.
