I reccomend running Glitchless. It has the Sloth stamp of approval now which means it's not a bad category Tongue . Definitely the best option for hardware limitations
The Game is locked at 130 FPS, you need to change another parameter in the .ini file to get above 130fps. change bSmoothFrameRate to FALSE and you may be able to get above 130 fps.

If not, there is still the possibility to use the slow Prisonskip (there is a video somewhere here aswell). Or run Glitchless as sloth said already.
Dishonored Before Death
I've been working on finding some new routes, but the only one I could find that might save time if optimized was in Kingsparrow.

It utilizes the yolo tactic of jumping from one side of the barbed wire beam to the other. It is, the Beard Beam.

I'll be working on it some more to get it more solid, but as it is right now.. I can do this faster than the normal any%/Glitchless route.
I am a walrus

I have already edited the .ini. I still only get 130 fps -_-. It's definitely my PC.

Like people said 130 is what it locks to if you dont turn the cap off.

I go personally faster of 0.5 seconds with the current road. But I think that ,by optimizing yours, it can be equivalent at least. Smiley

The cap is off
I'm having the same problem, but at 60 FPS (Using the file that Walrus gave + bSmoothFrameRate = FALSE).
Pretty sure it's not my PC because I have an i7 with a GTX 650.

Not sure if somebody has been here before, but I might have found a small "improvement" on Sewer OoB. I am kinda stuck here though but maybe somebody finds a way to clip nearer towards either the chain or get a better corner boost at that one corner or something.

E: actually I lied its not further just a different approach. Anywas:
new path starts at 0:45

it gets capped at 60 if you have v-sync on, check your ingame settings

There are two places that the ini files are found, one of them is pointless, you probably edited the wrong file. It might be somewhere in your documents like it is for me.
Dishonored Before Death
What Fripic said. My first problem with the ini files was the location. Then, Dishonored was re-writing the ini files to stock on launch, so I had to set the ini file to read-only. THEN it was v-sync.
Okay, I think the game was overwriting the .ini file back to default on start. Now that I have set the file to read only, it immediately closes on start. I was in the game, and I changed the screen resolution. Then the game closed and it just closes on start. here is my DishonoredEngine file. Tell me if I've made a whoopsie.

Dishonored Before Death
It looks good to me. Are you sure you edited the right one?

If DishonoredEngine.ini is the right one, i have edited the right file.
Dishonored Before Death
Ah yea, you're right. Wonder why it'd do that. I never experienced that crash.
I think it has to do with how I changed the resolution, but I don't really Know what caused it. If it was how i changed the resolution I have no way of fixing it because the game crashes on start
can anybody post what the original DishonoredEngine.ini is supposed to look like? I think i messed something up

Just make a safety copy, then delete it and verify game cache via steam.

Also know as L0rdy
Icykittenz that is a pretty simple problem actually, your ini-version at the very bottom of the ini file is different from your default ini file. When you use the ini file from somebody else make sure you overwrite the ini file versions at the bottom to match yours.

For comparison, here's the modified .ini

thanks Aphox for telling me how dumb I am. Tongue It works now
So, this intro is a thing.

If I were running glichless, would the Yetihype Strat be off limits? Is just letting the assassins hit you a glitch?
No icy. It's not really a glitch. Just make sure you start your runs in very hard and switch to easy before outsider. If you don't switch to easy the potions won't give you enough mana.
Prison skip requires high fps, and I couldn't do it. I found another that I can do. It's a lot slower, but faster than the alternatives. The guards may give you trouble on the way up; you can probably just kill them. Smiley

Isn't this the same distance of an elevator? What makes this one able to be done with lower fps? Also, you could probably get better FPS with a couple of other ini edits.

Dynamiclights=False
Dynamicshadows=False
bAllowLightShafts=False

This should make your game run smoother if nothing else.
