Okay, so I tested the slide-attack, and unsurprisingly it didn't work. My testing wasn't completely okay (since I accidentally assassinated Lady Boyle right as the scene with Brisby started), but I got one civilian kill and one hostile kill, and the only other NPC I killed was a weeper that I killed by sliding into, off the roof. While I was there, I checked out the sewer route, and it starts off pretty fast (exit to sewers is right next to the boat), but you have to turn a wheel to open the way out of the sewers, and swimming is a lot slower than sprinting, so I don't think it's viable. I also tested Curnow killing Campbell like ExplodingCabbage mentioned, and it turns out as non-lethal, so that's pretty awesome. Oh, and I checked whether the doors would open with a sleep dart. It appears the trigger is getting detected, so it worked fine. Now to figure a fast way to get NPC's to kill eachother consistently...
I would like it to be an SDA run if possible. I want the run to be a 100% run just without all of the coins but before i can do that i think that we need to come to some sort of agreement as to whether or not blueprints and weapons are required. I personally think they shouldn't be as they are not directly tracked by the game in the same way, but i do think coins should be included in a 100% because they are tracked directly.
Hey guys, I haven't really had a chance to play more lately but I've been watching the thread and all of the improvement and things you guys have come up with is impressive. I think once I find the time again (in a week or so) I'm just going to spend my time perfecting these blink/wall-breach glitches because otherwise my full runs are hopeless
Wow, this is crazy. If anyone has the guts to attempt routing a 100% speedrun for this game I will be extremely impressed. The amount of things that would have to be remembered for that run...
Okay, so here is my AC Speedrun. It's not a very great run, there are still some pretty major mistakes in it. I definitely think i can get this run under one hour and will be trying to do so over the next little while. This is more of a video showing the route I use. One of the things I really enjoy about AC is that there are quite a few clips i use to save time and breaking games is fun. Also, i would like to know your opinions on the untracked runes. There are I believe a total of four runes obtainable outside of the games tracking.
Same as with the coins (that I think we reached a conclusion on). If it isn't tracked, don't get it.
Shall I post the 100% definition in the definition thread? As follows:
Quote:
100% for Dishonored Collect everything counted on the mission end screen. That's coins, runes, Sokolov paintings and bone charms for all of the missions, but not the Hound Pits Pub area.
Does everyone agree with that?
In response to your run Sloth, nice job. I'm fairly certain it's faster to clip through the door rather than going round back for the first bone charm on Kaldwin's Bridge. Also, you can quicksave and quickload on pc. Use it. Taking the second door from Greaves Refinery is faster, I think. You end up in a room with a wheel, but you can exit through the top of the building so you don't even need to touch the wheel.

I also agree and thank you 161803398874989, I believe you are right about the first bone charm, I just need to find a consistent way to clip through it, and thank you very much about the second door, I literally didn't even realize that existed. Also hopefully quick saving and loading won't be an issue because I just wont die :P.
I am sad that the game tracks coins in the mission stats screen. I would find a 100% ghost run much more entertaining to watch if coins were excluded (runes/charms/paintings/side-tasks only). I understand why its a problem given the way the game tracks it, but in practice going after all the money in Dishonored is like speedrunning a Super Mario Bros game with a requirement to get every coin in every level.
So CrimsonPheonix and I lately having been doing a fair amount of races, so far just any% but maybe all collectibles later, and It'd be cool if anyone else wanted to join us for some races sometime. If you want to you should send him or I a message. I'm hoping we could maybe get a couple more people to join us.

You are saying this without ever having seen or planned a 100% Ghost run. There could be some very creative routes and skips.
I will be getting a new PC next week & might set up a stream, altough my upspeed is pretty bad. I would love to participate in Dishonored races. Also will need to cut loadingtimes from current any% WR and see what the time is to get a comparable time since my loadtimes will be much faster.
So I found this really interesting glitch in the Artist's Apartment While looking for a faster way to clip into the safe. They apparently just didn't finish the walls in this level. Also Windows have very strange physics, they appear to be even thinner than walls and take about a second to clip through. So far I haven't found any other place in the game like this.
So while messing around at the beginning of mission 7 I have discovered a way around the difficult jump there that is probably 10x more consistent while being probably less than a second slower. I shall dub it, the Sloth Jump, because it was born out of laziness not to learn the hard strats : P
nice! race strats found. I'd say it's much more than a second delay though, mainly because you're delaying a blink to wait for the fall as well as having to climb the edge of the roof rather than blinking half way over the roof. Regardless, nice find.
I have managed to improve upon the current World Record time of 42:59 by about 14 seconds. My total time is 42:45.
Edit: Apparently you tube doesn't appreciate my use of copyrighted music (probably should have realized) meaning this video isn't view-able in some countries so here is the link to the Highlight on twitch.tv http://www.twitch.tv/decidedsloth/c/1918483
Starting running Dishonored Sunday and it's been a blast so far. Current PB is 48:08. Need to really work on my mana management though, it really kills my time on some missions.
Hey Invis, nice run! A couple of things that stood out to me: * Mission 02 (at the Hound Pits still): the route you take from your room to talking with Havelock is sub-optimal. * Mission 04 (Sokolov): do the leaning-blink-thing Amzblk and Sloth do to clip through the door. That way you won't get stuck on the guards. * Mission 05 (Lord Regent): you take the old, suboptimal route. The non-lethal one is faster. * Mission 06 (Flooded District): you can break planks by sliding through them. Also, you should learn the OOB path. It's not hard, so there's really no excuse to screw up. * Mission 06/07: you remarked you should manage your mana better, and I think here was the only time it really gave you trouble.
Other than that, your run is a very good start. It mainly needs tightening up.
