Alright, I finished my first attempt on a Dink Smallwood speedrun.
Overally, it went pretty good, I had to change the plan a bunch of times when it proved to be impossible to kill Seth with the route/method I had in mind.
With less mistakes, more optimized routes and more luck, could bring it to 46-47 mins with the same routes/methods. Enjoy.

Comments:

Segment 1 - 20:37
The longest segment because of no save points on the way. Had some minor mistakes but went well overally. The success of this segment depends entirely of how lucky the money drops from monsters are, I need 500 gold for the boots as soon as possible. I've had 1 practice run barely under 20 mins, but I guess anything under 21 mins is pretty good.

Segment 2 - 4:07
Another segment that depends on luck from drops, I needed 1000 for the bow. I was really lucky on them this time, didn't even need to kill a time-costing slayer, so I decided not to redo it after I stupidly forgot about a money chest and had to go back for it.

Segment 3 - 7:06
Went pretty well, only the usual minor mistakes.

Segment 4 - 6:45
Again, only minor mistakes - missed shots, unoptimized routes etc.

Segment 5 - 2:20
This one depended solely on wether or not I died so I decided to keep the first one that I survive in. There were 2 more attack potions and a health meter increaser in the area but I decided to skip them because they were too far out of the way.

Segment 6 - 2:48
This one was pretty spontaneous as I hadn't tested my route here even once and just tried to remember where the potions were. Miscalculated twice Tongue Went pretty fine in the end but I need to learn that I don't need to pick gold up anymore.

Segment 7 - 5:32
Well, this was the only way I found that proved possible to kill the Seth with, while being terribly under-leveled and lacking any good weapon. Even then it took a good number of retries to finally (and barely) kill him. Yay.

If this game was originally sold but after 2 years went officially freeware, does it belong here or on freewareruns.com? Because I'm doing a run. ~45 mins estimated so far.

EDIT 2: The segment 7 is 5:32, not 6:26. I accidentally left a failed attempt in the video. Shit happens. That makes the total time about 49:13, yay.

It can go here, as long as it was commercial at some point.

The run is done! Download, if you're interested. I'll be submitting this to SDA too, I guess.

Hey, best wishes on this!!!  I really like this game.  I bet you're much more adept with this game's rather strange hit detection/fighting engine than I ever was.
Bring me the flaming voodoo canonball!
I also have this game Tongue
Never beat it though, I never figured out how to hurt the boss. I will surely watch this Tongue

Have watched the run today..
It was great, although there were some parts when I just wanted to kick you for walking against a tree a few times or other objects.
100% runs=great to watch
Pretty nifty run to see...I always like it when games in similar styles as this show up on SDA.
