If it's RNG dependent forget about poop bonus in a non tool assisted run. Unless the RNG counter resets when entering the screen, and you manage to replicate the exact movements

Yea we really need to know more about the RNG to know how this would work in a run and if it would be viable. Not to mention that he uses chips to change the RNG too by a large amount and we kinda need all the chips we can get.
I'm currently downloading the videos. I'll post some notes after watching the entire run.
From what I've watched so far: - He used Centarumon with Spit Fire - Trained attack stat to ~800 - Very optimized battles - The route is also different - He gets Vademon. HOW??????
By SDA timing the run would be around 1:56:08, starting from when he gains actual control of the character. idk when you'd technically stop timing for this, but I stopped after going through the "spoils" for beating final boss and starting the final cutscene, as there's no more character control by that point.
Anyways, yeah he mucho trains attack on Agumon, gets Centaurmon and sticks with him the whole game, then just uses spit fire and magma bomb as his strong hitter. I think the only battle he gets into that isn't required is the start of Mt. Infinity, assuming you can't dodge the guy right before Shellmon.
Everything seems to fall in place in terms of times of day for him to do stuff, and he also seemed to have a strat for getting Seadramon. Another interesting trick I saw him do was after talking to Bakemon he was able to walk down closer to the way back out before Bakemon actually talked to him.
Idk if JP version has any differences.
He also seemed more than good money/items wise. He still had a good amount leftover after finishing (probably to play it safe).
He relies on Spit Fire + Finishers for battles, so MP requierements are very low. He sold chips for money, but he actually did the money trick later in the run.
I believe everything he did works in non JP versions. For Vademon I think this is how he gets him (I always believed you needed Skullgreymon first): - Visit his screen after recruiting Unimon. - Read Shellmon paper (not sure if he did read for Seadramon instead since I can't undestand japanese :P). - Visit his screen a 2nd when going to recruit Leomon. - Visit his screen a 3rd time, and he is there.
I've watched way too many Digimon World runs claiming to be the WR x.x I actually managed to find the Nico run 20 minutes before Surreal posted it, so that was weird, I'll just assume that's the WR for now and not one that's little less than 6hrs. As for the TAS, is this it? http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzYxMzMxNTEy.html
Rule 1 of speedrunning: Always see if others have done runs on youtube, twitch, or nico.
i searched everywere on youtube twich googled it 1000 times ans sorry i dont can read jap. so i dont now a single jap. internet site.

my best time is not 6h its 2:30 with some fails what would bring me to perhaps 2h or something
i dont play the game much cous i have no time 4 it but i think catching seadramon is faster but i am ao bad at it but i was thinking the same a Fox u need to get skullgreymon to get vademon i tryd it 2 times i think as i traind the run but always only get it to the second time to ''talk'' to the circles the third time never appear 4 me so i was searching the inet and so many ppl saying that u have to recruit skullgreymon so i believed it if i changed my route to skip monochro fregie and tyranno (my a little new fixed route) and get vademon perhaps its fast enough to beat this time have to do some practice to see if i can beat it. who find write errors can keep them XD
The run I linked didn't get SkullGreymon, and I'm highly sure that the only thing you need to acquire Vademon is a high enough population in the city, like for Greymon or Airdramon, or Etemon to appear.
Watched up to Centarumon, so far the main difference is MASSIVE luck manipulation, obviously since it's a TAS. It's kinda ironic he needs to waste a lot of time to manipulate luck to actually save time.
Never thought about using Bakemon, anyway it's RNG related, so it's probably not worth getting him in a normal run.

yea it is really silly. we could theoretically manipulate the RNG but no one except the person who made the TAS knows the values and how they are affected so until then i think we don't need to worry about it.
