CB would probably work (especially since it only takes 3 mana), and since it synergies from lightning it would have enough damage to kill things with 3 or 4 casts I would think.
Andariel is very hard. Her poison will always take me down to 1hp unless I eat an andidote potion - and if i'm poisoned, it's so much damage that healing potions will not do anything.
Duriel is really easy, as long as the merc is getting hit (easy because the merc runs right for duriel), and I fed him some juvies. The thawing potion and healing potion beforehand both made sure he can take a few hits.
Meph is quite random, but his attacks follow a set pattern, so if you can survive staticing him, you'll almost definetly survive the rest.
Diablo is really easy without any lightning resist, but you have to be ready to run once you see his firehose. His nova is also painful, but he doesn't use it very often.
Baal is really easy, and I shouldn't have died on him. But his minions are so insanely hard that it took me so many tries just to get to him, that I had to accept a fight with him where i die a couple times. His cold wave is useless if you stay next to the wall, and the only attack he does faster than once every 3 seconds is his melee attack. So there's no real problem.
Since you revived the topic you have to do the Necro run Hellchamp.
As for the run, probably all of the Diablo players are still busy with the Pandemonium event. Does anyone of you has funny stories about it? I'd be especially interested in what equipment you used, because I know from the Diablo forums that a char with über equipment (item value of ~5000pgs per char) can do the event all by himself, but noone talks about affordable or even self-found stuff...

Time should not matter as far as characters go. The fastest time for each character will probably be posted, so if a necro or druid run takes longer than the sorc or assassin run, it would still be posted. I am still shooting for a barb run.
Actually I was considering the Necro run. The sad part is recording the run...
I think a Necro will be quite fast, but probably slower than a Sorc or Assassin ultimately due to the need for power-leveling to earn usable skills for Diablo and Baal. That is what CE is for though...
AFAIK it doesn't matter what the build is, ANY melee character will have to earn more levels (and get more AR) than a non-melee build. You will really have to level...PStrike sucks down the mana and has a potential to do almost nothing for a long time.
On the flip side it starts leveling at 6 and it does hurt plenty.
The problem with a Druid run is that it's like the 'Sin run, except slower. I mean, you can do it, but...another class would be more exciting, I think.
As for the Amazon, I remember once upon a midnight dreary using a poison skill that just owned the hell out of normal. Then again, I probably leveled a lot, so nevermind...
That's why I asked. Melee will be hard and you'll probably have to level up to 25 to get the game done at all.
The Poison Javelins seem to be a good thing for normal stuff, but I don't know if you can actually kill the bosses with it. Then again, seeing what the Vipers in Nilathak's lair can do to you (in case you don't know: they use plaque javelin that does more than 1500dam in less than a second, with maxed poison res) it's probably worth a try.
Yeah poison would probably work pretty good... Well as soon as I get FRAPS or something else to record it I'll start. Well I gotta go to school in a few minutes...
Poison is definately better than lightning I think, even if is is over time. Throw a javalin and run, do 1k damage. The only problem I can think of is minions have 95% resist to poison (as I remember it) but you can just lead them out and not kill them.
www.d2skills.com should help you out with how many points to put into what.

Let's see. You can either put all your points into poison javelin, so it gets to lv16, which does 1573 on average over 38 seconds, which is around 41 dam per second. The other idea would be to put the rest of the points into Plague javelin which gets as high as lv4, but does nice 263.5 over 4.2 seconds, which is around 62 dam/s.
Now taking these 62 dam/s and applying them to Baal who has 26500 hp and 50% poison resistance results in an epic battle of at least 26500 / 62/2 = 844 seconds, or about 14 minutes of fighting.
Using lightning bolt however, will get you an average of 100 lightning dam per javelin thrown, + 100% of your weapon damage converted to lightning plus 3/4 of the actual physical damage. Now all you have to do is hitting him.
A smiter, the damage may be bad, but it does not require attack rating (always 95%) at least I'm pretty sure... They would kill slow, but it would be efficient. Find a good paladin shield and a scepter that gives to smite or might.
I'm thinking this...
Strength:Enough for equip I find Dexterity:None if possible Vitality:EVERYTHING ELSE Energy:If I have troubles I just load up with potions so NONE
I'd want at least a level 15 smite and I need to get vigor.
Should I pump might or wait until I get to 18 and get concentration?

You can hit Baal in the meantime...you don't have to run like a pussy the whole battle.
That said...poison leaves clouds (at least Poison if not Plague) whether or not you hit. This would seem to reduce the need for Dexterity...
And Marsh, no offense...but though it may be less useful, Boulder is WAY cooler looking than WoF. What about a frenzy (or whatever that's called) wolf?
