You guys couldn't have found this a week ago? Kappa

Your skip saves more time, PlagueFather.

The Panchaea elevator takes about 1:15, falling down with the box/typhoon takes 30s, setup takes 20s(?), so that skip saves 25s at most if you get it perfectly (and it's pretty much segmented only at this point).
DXHR runner
Nature! Grats on your run man you did a pretty damn good job Smiley But the box gods were just not with you in some parts D: (maybe you forgot to raise your donger before the run?)
@Lab I'm sure mine does because the setup is almost instant, and it's very consistent but regardless that elevator skip in Panchaea is sick, and it just might have given me an idea on how to skip the elevator in Picus (That includes WAITING for the elevator to even come "up" [since it's actually there the whole time])

OH! I wanted to say since I was talking to Heinki about it, and I'm changing the description/name of "100%" for DXHR, since I understand some people still don't agree that it's truely 100%. The fact of the matter still remains, that this game will always be controversial to talk about 100% because of how you have to define it, so what I proposed is for the route that I finished, I am changing the NAME to DNA% (definitely not any%) as kinda a fun little reference, and the description will now be: "All E-books in standard game, all side objectives, all side missions, all speech checks, and all endings (collected)" More than welcome to share your thoughts Smiley
What?
Potential OOB route for sarif plant
http://www.twitch.tv/apjjm/c/4567533

Probably doesn't save much time even if executed perfectly. There might be a closer loading trigger we can hit though!

Miscellaneous fun clip at the start of the map:

What does this NOT include?

Deus Ex!
For the name High% (contrary to Low%) and Completionist% can also be considered. S, collecting all augmentations is not included.
.
SDA definition for 100% would be all main quest and side-quests objectives completed. Speech checks don't affect quest completion, neither do ebooks, and they aren't tracked by the game either. All praxis is also not considered as that would be the equivalent of levelling your character to 99 in an RPG. For quests such as Rotten Business where there are two exclusive options to complete the quest, either is acceptable.
DXHR runner
@S. Not all quest items, not all praxis, not all weapons, and most importantly not all the ebooks in TML, because there is no recorded (or documented) walkthrough of where all of them are, and I'm honestly not gonna spend weeks trying to clear out the entire DLC to find them.

@ShadowWraith that's actually really nice information to know, but the game actually DOES track ebooks, just not speech checks. Maybe what I've been doing the whole time would be some high percentage (example 106% to meatboy) which I'm still cool with, but good to know that SDA would back up the true definition of 100% even if part of the community doesn't agree.

So then (SDA) 100% would be all quests and side quests, one ending, and when there are multiple exclusive options in a quests, one of the options.
DXHR runner
Right Lab. Although I've kinda come attached to DNA% :c we'll just consider that to be an advancement % category. So now my route for "100%" is completely off, but the good news is it wont take 4 hours to beat now Cheesy

S.: You're welcome to run whichever category you like. SDA just defines 100% as all missions/collectables, and since ebooks aren't collectables and are logged in the same way as pocket secretaries and emails... Consider it analogous to all scans in the Metroid Prime games.

An argument could be made for the Scholar ebooks, I suppose, but the only way to track that is the Steam achievement and we don't consider those.

Good point Shadow, thanks for the clarification!

Not so interesting news, but I have a new WR for TML standalone. I'll post a vod when I'm done streaming Smiley jk
I broke panchaea I think.

Should save some time and make heinki's sub 1 hour dream easy.

Also I made a pastebin for all missions if anyone is interested

All Mission is basically completing every mission by the end of the game. Some of the clips in any% leave the mission unfinished, so the route doesn't use those skips or it alters them in the case of picus. However because you end up doing all side missions and actually do all missions there are some other interesting clips like at the pod garden that Nana helped find for me. It also becomes more about inventory management and execution of the fps features such as taking down the 5 terrorists with take downs only, or sniping the MCB gang members with the crossbow. Hopefully some other people are interested, I know Heinki expressed some interest.

http://pastebin.com/tGQvzxXH

Edit: Also the run will start time as soon as you gain control of Jensen, and any% will probably be doing the same once heinki gets sub hour. And for Panchaea, I still have not decided if AM% can use the new clip, since you do not get the trigger for talking with Darrow but you technically finish the mission by beating the game, so I am unsure at the moment. For now I think i will do the new clip, but if it becomes apparent that by doing this I do not complete the mission, then I will do old darrow skip since that triggers the mission objective.
DX, DXHR, MGR, TRA, GTA SA
Dude, That clip in Panchaea, it saves more then just 15 sec... going up with the elevator, doing the typhoon there etc etc. if you get a perfect setup you should be around 1min ahead I would guess or even more.

I'm crying right now, sub 1:00:00 is happening. :_D :_D

And about AM% I would be deffinelty interested in that! Cheesy

best wishes,
Heinki
Deus Ex!
Yup really awesome clip!

Meaning starting the timer after the cutscene? You guys discussed and agreed on this? Because I'm definitely for timing like that, that intro cutscene is an unnecessarry annoyance. The only problem is that all the old times would be about 5 minutes too long then.
DX, DXHR, MGR, TRA, GTA SA
@ Labbekak I'm not sure who is for it, but I would deffinelty join this

I guess it would have a little side effeckt for other runners to start speedrunning it as well,
because most people don't wanted to start it since you had that cutscene at the start.

+ I think you can do the same trick at the furnicular in Piccus too! Nana tried something like that
but got it just by boxclipping, so if you do the typhoon in the same way, it should work! I will try it and then tell you if it works!
DX, DXHR, MGR, TRA, GTA SA
Furnicular skip? Not sure, couldn't made it work, but I guess others will find something then, Still would be possible, just get pushed back from the furnicular which makes it a bit hard. :/
Alright so I did two runthroughs of All Mission% and my final time of tonight is 2:32:20. I think that the final time will be around 2:20, but im shooting for sub 2:30 as of now. I need to figure out for sure what triggers Sandoval to attack, and I need to figure out what to answer for the speech battles as well as figuring out which CASIE uses are slower than just winning the speech battle normally. And as of now I decided that the new darrow skip is allowed in AM% because you still finish the mission once you select an ending, even though the objective isnt completed for Darrow. I'm guessing that the end cutscene/credits is triggered by the end of the quest, and so that's how you "know" that the mission gets completed. (also the pastebin i linked earlier is a bit outdated at this point sadly)

http://www.twitch.tv/natureblink/c/4687407    is the run.

In other news I couldnt really get anything with the funicular skip. I got it once but i feel like it was dumb luck.  I think we need someone like apj to find an easy set up for it, because like I said I got basically nowhere with only knowing a general location. And Lab, the older times would be outdated due to new skips anyways, Heinki's eventual sub hour PB/WR will be the only important run that both uses all up to date skips and the old timing. After he gets it then everyone will need to rerun the game for new splits and to incorporate the new skip.
DX, DXHR, MGR, TRA, GTA SA
Unfortunately we can't do the Furnicular skip I guess, for now. Tongue

BTW I will do a little "Aligning tutorial" for the boxclips and the typhoon clips in Director's Cut, I guess that will make it easier for others runners to start or are you explaining that already
@ Natureblink?

With the All missions run, I will learn that probably this week, got Ill and got a lot of time now, can't train for 4 hrs Kappa
Feel free for the tutorial!

And AM% hype!! Its a pretty cool run.

What?
I did find a different way to do the funicular clip recently which involves use of the typhoon. The downside is it is still really unreliable and the map below the funicular still doesn't load - it doesnt matter if you hit the button outside the elevator or not, if the doors don't open after the long wait, the game will not spawn the trigger for loading the basement (at least when i've tested it). For the panchea skip - i have only had success using the other wall but then the map didn't load :(. I am not sure how xexi got the map to load in the twitch vod but perhaps it could be useful for the funicular too depending on what actually happened there?

In other news: I finally found out how to do a true 0 cloak run of the police station just as reliably as the old 0-cloak. This has a benefit of completely cutting out the merchant and the requirement to sell stuff to get the extra praxis.
Presumably, you could forgo the cloak upgrade until upper TYM given i can find a quick way through DROW without getting rekt.

This definitely saves time over the old 0-cloak (and grandma's cloak :P) strats.

Edit: there is a 0 cloak way through DROW which takes you past the two nades. Can use these instead of two of the mines (tho i would only skip one). An extra flashbang / conc mine / gas nade would let you run straight through without the nade room detour.  Don't pick up the jars otherwise your hotbar gets filled and requires you to go into the inventory which wastes some of the time saved.
