I'll probably start keeping recordings on JTV so I can show my route... But it goes something like this:

1. Max out my sprint speed ASAP
2. I max out cloaking soon after, getting cloaking Lv. 2 when I reach the cargo elevator at Highland Park.
3. When I get to Hengsha, I get the TYM card and go out the exit closer to Hengsha Ct. Gardens. I start building Implanted Rebreather. For The Hive, I punch the bouncer (cloak in?) and use the 0415 door, then punch Bobby Bao to get Hyper Oxy Lv. 1. I get Hyper Oxy Lv. 2 at Alice Pod Gardens.

From then on, I take a straightforward route, spending free praxis points for energy cell upgrades until I'm at 4 cells; getting 5 is actually not necessary to use cyberprotein jars to max efficiency. The only exception to me upgrading energy/stamina capacity the second I get these praxis pointis to get Move/Lift Heavy Objects at TYM and Punch Out Walls at Picus. I usually have two praxis points by the time I get to the harvester's hideout, so I use the Icarus Glitch to fall down the elevator shaft since it seems fastest.

To get the mines, hold walk while crouching; standard crouch-walking speed will set them off. Getting the mines is really slow for Barrett now that I see your route, but I'm not sure if there's another quick kill method I can set up for Yelena that isn't mines or Typhoon.
I'm feeling we need another live run from someone. Who is up for the challenge?

Guys if you make a live run / stream, if you can you should record some of your tricks and paths (240p is fine, really).
I'm trying to find a good route in Hengsha. I have 3 paths, but the fastest is just to rush straight to Windmill's room.

I'm "grepping" in the binary files, brute force would take forever and debug lets you open any door but won't show the code. I need the code to open this gate :

mmm, yeah, that's another one I forgot to list. I exit through the gate on the way to Windmill's apartment so I can go back through it later. Great for getting *to* The Hive, but bad for getting to Hengsha Ct. Gardens, so I'd rather know the code for it.

I'll simultaneously record my next SS attempt next time I stream and host it in LQ for you. I think I've pretty much got the optimal path through Hengsha 1.

Havn't seen this posted so I thought I would let you guys know.  On my 1st playthrough once I had got to Panchaea, none of the crazy aug guys would attack me. They would just run up to me and stop in front of me. (I'm assuming this is a glitch) Made the end really easy. Gonna see if I can replicate it on my 2nd playthrough.

YAYY !! I've found the code for the gate to the Hive ! It took me only 5 hours.
I'm not going to spoil the surprise, it's going to be in my next run video Smiley

Excellent work on that code, but any reason why you aren't getting the TYM smartcard first? It's literally right below you when you enter Hengsha.

The code is 4865. In one of the locker there is 200 credits and a gas grenade.

If you need a specific code, look at the file names. For example, I've found the code of the gate in sha_city_lowerresidential. The code for the room with the valve was in sha_tym_pool_room. If you find the code you need, please leave a message about it for other people.

Holy shit, I could kiss you right now... I don't care that I have to trial and error them all until I get them right, you've just eliminated having to play the hacking minigame at all. =D

Not gonna get the 200 credits or the gas grenade since I'm playing on the XBox version and the extra inventory time will be more trouble than it's worth (not to mention gas grenades are kinda useless when I have cloaking), but I can still cut through that room since there's a door on the other side. =p
Well, time to boot up the console and find the 3 codes or so that I'm missing.

Any one of you guys having trouble entering codes containing one or more 0 ? Each time I press that key (numeric pad) while entering a code the displayed keys get messed up, usually it will double some number. For example 8021 would become 8022. It seems like I have to wait longer between presses for this special key... This was not in the leaked version so it's not my keyboard.
Every time I enter the First code in the PC version, it registers 4451 instead of 0451

Hey everyone! for anyone that is interested, I have started a speedrun on Deus Ex Human Revolution on hard mode and its been challenging and fun at the same time! I may redo it when I finish my first because I can see some improvements. I am at Picus right now and have a good amount of augs. Cloak with the energy bars and jars are just too good. I have not used the icarus system at all I don't think it is needed, but I may be wrong. Also too, do are the security codes have codes, or are there some doors where you have to hack them? Because I don't know the security code before I fight the second boos; I am forced to go around.

Where at? If it's Hengsha 1, then that's nothing new. A majority of the Forced Dialogues have the possibility to get interrupted during an Auto-Save.

Yeah, I usually keep all of my broadcasts archived.
Encountered 2 buggy things in the inventory (On the Xbox 360, don't know if it works on the PC version). I doubt they're useful but you never know.

The first one I haven't been able to reproduce. I was using the Move option on a CyberBoost ProEnergy Jar, moved it halfway onto my Stungun, then pressed the place item key and the cancel Move key at pretty much the same time and it placed the item in place but its image was turned 90 degrees Smiley

The second thing I can easily reproduce. At any item (Also Quest items) select the Examine option and right after it click the cancel button. If done right the information screen shows up but you still have control in the inventory.
