Is there an any option on signups? Which would be better for new players? (ie. no experience)

I'll just put my name down for each, move as needed.

Its hard to say what game would be better for New Players as i was hoping to keep all games new player friendly.

It is up to everyone here to decide if one group wishes to make more experienced group separate or have a mix of new and old players.

Tabletop games are a group effort to decide what we all want to play and how.

Tiornys if you would still be willing, Please host a 4.E game as you wish. Your welcome to use any house rules you wish but i do suggest to keep things somewhat simple for our newer players.

My initial thought is to provide free Versatile Expertise and Improved Defenses, limit all damaging zones/areas to dealing damage once per turn, and otherwise play by RAW with level 3 characters, set in the Forgotten Realms.  If anyone has comments or requests, please feel free to post!  I'll put some preliminary guidelines on the spreadsheet within the next few days.

Just make a google doc and post the link in the slot for House Rules. I will update the layout when i can but i openly admit i am not that good at making things look good on paper.
If anyone has a better way of making the Spreed Sheet more accessible feel free to lend a hand.

So far I've been a bit too quiet on this, as in have not said anything here. My thoughts right now would put the characters at level 3 for the game that I was thinking of initially. I also had a thought that came up from Freddeh's suggestion of a more drop in/drop out format and Dragondarch's mention of THAC0, of having an additional, pretty informal 2E game probably with pre-made characters and people could just come in and take something to play as for a bit and then leave, it would probably be more an exhibition of 2e's combat rules more than anything else, though if there's not much interest in that very open to change.

Done.

It might be a good idea to edit the original post with the spreadsheet link.
Something that will need to be discussed is what days should these games be held. I was thinking 2 games could be held on 1 day, the 4E or Pathfinder game its own day, and then the Drop in/Drop out game being the most flexible on a different day so more people can join in. I am open to ideas and we do need feedback as not everyone there is going to be at RPGLB for the full week, and thats not including people that would love to play but have other plans like "my run is that day" or I got watch this speed run that day".

Also to those who wish to play my Pathfinder game, i suggest you decide 2 months before hand if you want to play. That will give you time to write up your character sheet and then i can review it. Once i know who is playing what i can try to make the game more tailored for what the party is composed of.

(PS if you haven't already there is an awesome humble bundle right now for a bunch Pathfinder books that are a fantastic deal)
A Discord channel for this group is available right now. https://discord.gg/0qwEb6xoCFD4iwip
Feel free to join if anyone wants to talk about what we want to do, play as, or just joke around.
Maybe in the future people want to play a game online for practice/fun?
I may hop on the D&D4e, should I bring my PHB/DMG/MM(s) encase they're needed? Also starting level/restrictions. lol.

Extra books can always be helpful, although I'll have both the compendium and character builder on my laptop so don't strain your luggage.

Character creation rules here (also linked in the signup sheet):  https://goo.gl/D5bMfJ
Copy that, I'll bring digital +character builder on my laptop/tablet. If i can squeeze it in I'll bring the hardcopy phb as well.
I brought physical copies of the players handbooks for 4e if needed.
