How do you do it? I just don't know where to plug the cables in.
Thread title:
You got a deletion wish?
Plug the next one into where the cable would go on the first one and so on.

You mean, for example, that I should plug the cable of RF switch #1 that's supposed to go into the TV into the ANT. hole of RF switch #2? :-/ Let me try that.
Didn't work. Angry

Reverse that, you misread me.  First one in the TV like you would normally if it was just that one, second one in first's ant, a third would go into second's ant and so on.
OK, thanks! Wink I'll try that later.
It's also quite good if you want to play with the worst picture possible Smiley

Haha, my freshman year of college, a lot of people liked to claim that the TV reception was poor. My roommate and I joked that it didn't matter to us; our picture would be terrible anyway because of the ridiculous system chain we had going on (It was something like NES-Genesis-PS-N64-TV, maybe with a VCR in there too).

But yeah, I'm pretty sure you can make it work regardless.
oh man, the memories.

i thought i was the shit for doing this back in the day.

then again, i was only 12 ...

Woo hoo! It worked! Now my SNES is protected from discoloration! Cheesy (Long-term exposure to the sun and flourescent lights causes it)

EDIT:But I'm still considering to get an AV cable soon after I found out how much the music in MMX sounded better. Is the only benefit of recording using an AV cable compared to a RF switch better sound?

Wow, you had to use an RF adaptor for all of those systems? That's crazy, especially with the fact that AV cables are pretty much standard for PS1 and N64.

I don't remember precisely what was actually IN the chain proper, just that we had those systems hooked up all at the same time. This was like 6 years ago, mind. Looking back, I DO think everything but the PS was RF.

no.

What else?

Just curious, how bad was the actual quality?
rf is just an old hack to get video in to tvs without a/v inputs other than for like an antenna. anything else offers better picture and sound.
OK. Thanks nate.
Long live SF64!
Chaining RF switches cause the picture to become progressively worse because each switch is muddying up the signal.  RF switches can also cause the image to distort from radio interference I think... I think I've even picked up a radio channel with one, but that memory might just be my imagination.

I used to have NES, SNES, and N64 all chained together going into the VCR, which then went to an A/V box thing which then went to the TV. So standard TV signal was going through 5 devices before making it to the TV.
Well, I just wanted to do this temporarily until my new  SNES AV cable came in.
