Would it be possible to get a current count of the number of approved verifiers for each run in Mike's official list (http://speeddemosarchive.com/forum/index.php/topic,1285.0.html)? Just a number next to each run (no names, obviously).

It might help encourage people to participate in the verification process, and it would satisfy my curiosity in seeing how far along some of the older runs are. It shouldn't be a pain to update for Mike, and I don't see any drawbacks.

But it's additional work that I wouldn't be doing, so feel free to blow me off. Smiley
Thread title:
i would be interested in seeing this as well.  i think u r right ... it could possibly encouraging more people to participate in the verification process.
so is this something people aren't interested in? ... not much discussion here.  I think it's worth looking into.
Would maybe be nice, but it shouldn't be necessary.

If you check the list and there's a run you could verify, then contact Mike already! What are you waiting for?! Wink

I've made a habit of always checking the verification list (You can quickly see if the thread was updated by just visiting the Speedrun Verification section) whenever I visit the forum, and if there's a run I can verify I immediately contact Mike. I suggest others do the same Wink

well, that's just it ... i'm not sure everyone that sees a game they could verify actually signs up to verify.  If a game has been sitting in that list for a while and already has one verifier signed up, then putting a (1) next to it might give people who are on the fence about verifying more reason to sign up.  It would also let the runners who have submitted their runs know the status of verifiers.

hmmm ... the more i think about it, it really isn't a necessary change.  Just something I saw someone else bring up, and felt it was at least a worthy discussion topic.
As I understand it, the longer the run has been in the queue, the fewer verifiers needed.
