As far as I can tell the playstation Tomb Raider 2 and the pc TR2 go to the same page, and that both runs are on the PC version....  I'm also pretty sure some of the stuff isn't possible on the psx version, so it really shouldn't be on the psx version page... Huh?
Thread title:
Well when you run the site you can separate the games in any way you feel fit.
The games are similar enough to be listed on the same page.  Sometimes there are games that have different glitches on different systems but that won't be noted unless there are runs on more than one system.  And due the the quality of the runners here, even though you might not think it's possible it probably is.

Hmm, we've had people asking for certain systems to be included, but I think asking for certain systems to be removed is a first. Tongue

Since I just wrote about this, please check out this page.

Short version: Goal of system lists is not to track data about the runs themselves, it's for people to be able to find the game they want to watch. Our only FF7 run is on PC. Do you think PS1 shouldn't be listed? Most people don't think of it as a PC game first.

If you want info about which runs are on which systems, or maybe you hate computer games like some reverse Kibumbi and won't watch PC runs, the SDA rewrite will include the system each run was performed on, so you will be able to search for all runs done on PS1 and won't have to even see the foul presence of PC games on your screen.
So if the Tomb Raider 4 speedrun (PC Version) is on the ps1 page, why isn't it on the Dreamcast page?

I guess that would be a mistake, fixed.
Today I looked for the Tomb Raider - Anniversary PS2 run (I haven't watched it yet.)  Since it talks about changing the frame rate, I'm assuming it's the PC version, though as far as I can tell it doesn't say that anywhere on the page (on most games, which system it is on is talked about in the description.)  I would like to know for sure without watching it.

It would be nice to have, on the top each game page itself, a noticeable statement of which system the run is actually on.  So that, even though one may get to a game through, say, the PS2 list, they will know what system exactly the run is on.
Waiting hurts my soul...

That might be nice to know, but going back through might be a bit of a pain unless someone was tracking that previously and just never listed it somewhere.
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

You are correct:

Quote from DJGrenola:
It is possible to filter games by released system via the game list, but this new implementation also knows on which systems runs were actually played, something of which I had always wished SDA would keep track. Even though there was nowhere at SDA to record it, I dutifully nagged Mike for this information for each and every run I posted, and recorded it at archive.org.

The systems that runs were performed on will be part of SDA 2.0.
